    James,

As far as I know the original 78th Fighter Group P51D that Colonel John Landers flew as ‘Big Beautiful Doll’ was not preserved.

The example at the Gathering is owned by Mike Henningsen, here in the UK we have Rob Davies P51D G-HAEC, the IWM at Lambeth also have the former RCAF example that was on display at Duxford painted in BBD colors. There may be more!

    Septic.

Thanks Septic very useful I always thought Robs BBD was the real thing 😮

I think this shot is lost as even though the jet has just touched the runway creating tyre smoke it is a little far away. Personally I think if the aircraft was just over the threshold of the runway it may have been better, again prefrences.

Depends On how you want the shot really I think its a great shot with the plane in the middle and the Runway in the centre , Runway lights in the foreground and some House and Industry estate in the background. Do they have problems with the Pylons at all?

Great shots there aswel Like the KLM F70 and G-THOO 😎

I think Jessops may still have it on Special… However, as the R6 and R7 have come out now, (not much improvement to be honest) you can pick up a R5 for £119.00 online..

It got some auto stabalise feature which works well and helps when using the zoom..

I was surpirised with the quality i was getting from Auto and the battery life is the best i have ever had.. I manage to get 250 photos the other day and the battery life was still showing full.

If your after a cheap compact for trips etc, and dont fancy taking the SLR its a real good buy!
    Rick

So an R6 and R7 is the same as an R5 but with a new name? Yeah It looks really good for my use think I will get one.

    Thanks for showing

    Hi all.

Yes Bex, I agree with you, the police had more control in the old days. When I was growing up in the late thirties, we used to play football in the street with a tennis ball. I f the local bobby came round and caught us he would put his penknife throught he ball and the nearest kid would get a cuff across the ear. Oh that those days could come back.

    Ken

Ken/Paul I am 20 and I also got told Stories like that by my Nan and Grandad and think what bloody great days they where you could do anything without being attacked, knifed or shoot so wish they where the days now 🙁

Don’t worry Bex, abuse or not, I would have run back and dived in to save them

I would make them suffer then save them when they are going blue in the face 😀

What the bloody hell are their parents about, sending their little kids out on a big bike, no helmets, nothing.

Think Parents have no control over there teenages now days 😡 I think the Police have to be more strick and less of the book

The thing that – really P*sses me off is when Yobs attack OAP and when War Vetrans are mobed of there pennys when giving out poppys for Remembrance Day 😡
