The aircraft acquisition will be supported by “substantial logistical and training packages”, says the UK Ministry of Defence, “including the opportunity for Royal Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force aircrews and ground technicians to train alongside each other in the UK”.

Saudi Tornado IDS strike aircraft completed their first joint exercise in the UK early in September, operating alongside RAF Tornados from Lossiemouth in Scotland.

Have the Royal Saudi Air force got BAe Hawk Trainer jets? If so do they do exercise with are Hawks? Did we build there Tornado F3’s I know they have some ex RAF ones.Do you think they will take the whole F3 Fleet when they retire from RAF service?

The Saudi contract has been signed on August 29th 2007, the price for the 72 Typhoons is 4.43 billion pounds.

This is great news for BAE Systems , British built Typhoons and British Aviation.
