James
Dont forget the Sea Harrier 😀 Great news lee thanks for the update. Is the next project for the RNHF to get the swordfish back up in the air?
James
Why is this weekend know as Battle of Britian weekend I thought the Battle of britian took place during August to October 1940’s?
Today I watch the Battle of Britian film and pay my respects and sunday I be keeping an eye out for the BBMF Spitfire and Hurricane thats flying over the Weald of Kent ( Battle of Britian County):D
James
She looks fantastic in that livery and I to hope KLM will sponsor her. Have Air Atlantique still got an DC-6 for sale or is that old news? And is the frogy DC-3 still flying?
Regards
James
Nice shots there like the Pink Fokker 100 and the Flybe EMB 195 taking off.
James
The Hunter’s come from Hunter Flying based at Exeter just 2 of the 8 flyers at the mo lol
Cool good to see Hunter flying again so do they have 8 hunters but only two flying?
James
Nowt wrong with position there mate, some great shots.
Agreed with others, Saudi DC-10 has to be my favourite!
Its a MD-11 mate 😉 Great shots there best one has to be the Saudi MD-11.
James
them VC-10’s are that old I think its a common problem these days that the engines fail. I was working at Brize once on one of the tanker varients! dunno how it was still in the sky!
They are the only aircraft to not have crashed in there 41 years off service to the RAF.
You have no idea how jealous i am of you right now !
the words bloody lucky git comes to my mind 😀
WHAT!! please do its not every day we get a member taking a trip on one of the oldest and best looking aircraft operating out of the UK.
Dont forget the sound off them RR engines taking off.:D its one off them planes that make you proud to be british.
James
Brilliant shots Gary like the F-86 Sabe and the derset Spitfire:cool: Who owns the Hunters and Gnats? and is that C-47 Based in the UK?
Regards
James
James, Air SouthWest don’t operate the Q400, assume it’s just the Q400 involved?
Oh so its only the Q400 involved and not the Q300.
James
Well done Atlantic for keeping these birds flying.
Yeah thank you Air Atlantique:cool: Great shots there whats happing to the sad looking MNG Kargo Fokker27? And are all those ex Channel Express
James
Yes we know they are looking at this but the airframes are really worn out and the cost of making them into HC2’s would be money wasted when NEW airframes better suited are needed in this role and as has already been said I’d go either EH101 or NH90 both generations newer and would be in service for many more years too boot. Let’s spend the funds on what we need not airframes that are true past their best. One type less to support too.:diablo:
Thought it got the go ahead to ake the Pumas MK2’s ?
Well the AW139 is smaller but still better than a Griffen as more power and greater range too with a cabin that will take 15 adults
Is that why there are more Griffin/Bell412 SAR then AW139 😉 😀 Can the AW139 take on SAR roles?
James
Nice shots Brian, WOW so many freeloaders 😮 like the BBMF Hurricane shot and the two HFL Spitfires.
James
