It hardly seems to have been very secret!

If I had to choose a book then it would be the Observer’s Book of Aircraft that was published each year; I still have some. But I think what really first captured my imagination was the Christmas present when I was about 8 of two Airfix models – Lancaster and Starfighter. Even now some 40+ years later those two aircraft still hold a special place. …and then there were all the aircraft inbound to Mildenhall runway 29 which probably had some influence.

As of July she is back upright on jacks and looks in reasonable shape.
