It would be helpful if you posted the actual link….

In any case, talk of operational unit is just speculation or educated guess at this stage…2017/18 at the earliest IMO.

….now that the rather ingenius Vikhr ATAGM seems to have been abandoned – the Ataka-V is a somewhat underwhelming performer unfortunately.

News about the fate of the Vikrh are contradictory. Some say it has been abandoned others refute those reports. For example, one of the Ka-52 pilots during a recent interview at the twotower blog:

I already said RIP. But my concern is also about the plane.

What’s wrong with hoping the money we paid don’t go to waste. We are not a developed country to write off an investment like that. The cost of one of these things can feed many poor Indians for years.

The crashed aircraft was reportedly RSK MiG’s test aircraft. So you can sleep tight at night as no one will be going hungry as a result of the crash…

I’m guessing that’s an older photo of 51?

Some news on the weapons development for Pak Fa. Not many details, just that their development is going parallel with the aircraft development….mentions ongoing state tests of the new cannon

The footage is from a Russian TV feature on new SAM developments which was posted on Russian forums not that long ago. The animation is probably from some marketing presentation.

Afterwards the video shows a sort of launching of missiles from the S-300P/S-400 family

The launcher probably won’t look that different from the S-400. It will likely have larger diameter tubes
