Many thanks 🙂
Elements of OEIS (optical-electronic integrated system) on the Su-35S-1:
Interesting. Thanks.
Any info available on the OEIS?
Anyway, given the state of the art of current ABM interceptors, “aggressive” maneuvers during the boost phase seems as overkill….
Likely future developments have to be taken in consideration
The Mi-28 has a cool ambient air inductor that allows cooler air to mix with the engine exhaust before it is vented downward.
Apparently another function is to drive any missile that achieves a lock, away from the rotors towards the armoured cabin (away from any vital parts) and it also marginally aids the lift performance.
…
According to the CEO of OPK, “Russian Helicopters” is considering offering India licence built production and the right to re-sell to 3rd parties as part of any deal. This applies to the Mi-28, Mi-26 and Ka-226
The exhaust fumes get mixed with cold air from the outside before exiting the vents. And I think there’s a filter installed as well.
Not pointing the exhaust upwards probably has something to do with the rotors.
And why isn’t the exaust wents directed upwards instead of downwards:confused:
What do you mean? Because of heat signature?
Yeah thats wishfull thinking at best. Serdykov just asked if completion was possible. the Russian MOD has zero use in finishing the An-225.
Maybe not the MOD but it does have a good commercial potential
Kyiv Plant Aviant enter into cooperation for the production of modernized “Ruslan”
Interfax-AVN
The original plans for the An-124-300 were for a stretched fuselage with some elements from the An-225
Some related news…
According to the Ukranians, the Russian MOD is showing interest in the completion of the second (unfinished) An-225
Some old footage of the Su-27KUB
Pak Fa and Su-35 have a coated canopy definately. TR1 posted this in the Pak Fa thread
There were pics of some Su-27s with a coated canopy but I think that was more of a trial on a few aircraft only.
On the MiG-35…
Chances are it will be ordered by the Ru-AF. There’s talk of an order ranging from 30-70 aircraft. If the order does materialise, it could be in the form of a MiG-29M2 with elements from the MiG-35 project.
Well well well. Looks like the experts here were wrong. Belorussia is looking at either MiG-35 or Su-30.
Hotdog is an expert ? 🙂
Its trolling. You specficaly stated bribes, thats trolling AND flame baiting.
“Seahawk” is probably right and he’s not the only one who thinks Rafale is the favorite. Disregarding everything else, for starters the Rafale is a more complete fighter-bomber than the Typhoon…..the emphasis is on bomber / strike aircraft since that is what the IAF is looking for. The air-air capability is secondary.
Transition to a new 4th gen. C-C system for the Strategic Nuclear forces has begun according to their spokesman Col. Vadim Koval.
