Yet they did each time the jammers failed to jam them.
A hint: they weren’t isolated but had data exchanges with HQ.
From a given distance the P-18 and all other radars can spot a F-117. The P-18 can deliver data of heading and speed, which is not enough in a 3D-enviroment, when the height is missing.
Obviously they had the height….from memory it was approx. 8000 m.
And the deeper sense of that claim?!
What’s the “deeper” sense of your claim?…that they fluked it both times or that it was an April’s fool joke?
A ‘division’ (pronounced ‘divizion’) is the smallest autonomous missile/artillery unit. In this case it consists of 2 batteries of 4 launchers each + radar and command vehicles.
AFAIK Yes
During the last “discussion” on this topic, some here were strenuously denying that a second F-117 was hit.
The F-117 s could be tracked with a modified P-18 radar…..that’s all there’s to it.
The first regiment was more of a test & trial unit as development of the LR missile wasn’t completed until 2010. We’ll see how things go from now on.

just part is shown – blocker lenght rougly equals its diameter and not a mirror copy of this section
Any reason why the same/similar blocker couldn’t be applied to the Su-35?
The engines are similar…
They’re both roughly matched capability wise, but China does have a bigger industrial capacity.
Anyway, since both have nuclear weapons anything bigger than a border skirmish is pretty unlikely.
Have the cockpit glass always looked like that on the Mig-31BM?
What do you mean?
Not strictly military related but interesting presentation of the planned new generation atomic icebreaker.

They might be interested in the Fire Control systems rather than the cannons themselves.
Report about the Airforce commander visiting the ‘Progress’ plant where the Ka-52 is built. Among other things, it mentions a naval variant for service on the Mistrals under development.
Good prospects for the maritime variant of the helicopter, which is currently being developed in the Kamov design bureau for the amphibious assault ship of the “Mistral” class purchased from France.
