[QUOTE=Pinko;1680110]Wow, Hans got it 1st
The engines?
AL-31,sure
I agree with You to be sceptical … but I see at least something, that is – not only IMO – not PSed nor anything that has been seen in China before … in addition to several eye-witness repors from some reliable “sources” (including actually the one who posed the first J-10B pictures) I think it’s save to say that there is something going on.
If You or some others prefer to belive that China still can only copy Russian types … then that’s up to You.
Cheers and merry Christmas.

Nothing was showed in that pic.
But what about this?
Like I said before … some really don’t want to see
So,what you saw?
He-he-he 🙂 What is it? Looks like … smudge 😀
This recalled me some stuff.
Can you remeber one of T-50 early desigh?
bTW. what is underneath the cockpit canopy? 😮
Man,this is a CG made by GaoShan only…
I know this, but one problem is most radar max detection range is not TWS/RWS,but VS mode…
And I found stuff sources
It shows Su-27SM use N001VE(P) “Peo” or “Pero” Radar.
Pero was planed to be used in Su-30MKK3.
Looks better than normal N001V/VE
And Carlo Kopp said N001VE “Pero”is Speace feed PESA…
Дальность захвата истребителя, не менее, км:
This is closer to track range not detection range.:)
Check the link I posted. It’s 99.99% the Sukhoi, larger Bars.
Hmmmm…what I saw is a N001VE…
Where is that from?
NIIP website gives less air targets attacked…
Military stuff export handbook.
NIIP website gives might be Bars-29?
Well there are at least some figures out there about both radars:
N001V/N-011M:
detection range against fighter: 130-140 km/160+ km
tracking: 10/15
Engagement: 1-2/4
Azimuth coverage: +/-60°/+/-70+°
Elevation coverage: +/-55° both
NCTR: No/YesThat’s certainly just a fraction of everything relevant, but anyway one don’t need to be an expert to know that an upgraded variant of a 1980s radar with inferior technology base is unlikely to match a 1990s radr from the same manufacturer with more advanced technologies.
Nice!
The Bars can attack 4 targets – this isn’t anything amazing (an ideal number, actually, in my mind). I don’t think this is hard to match, probably more related to processing, and the Su-27SM has brand new hardware for that.
Nope, Bars can attack 8.
And PESA/AESA is sightly better than PD radar in muti-target attack.
Out of fuel,looks no damage
It’s been going along since the mid 2000s, since funding was available. All this talk now is because there’s so much more to modernize, given the fact that the RuAF is MASSIVE. Far more massive than the IAF. Your view of things is rather biased, blatantly and deliberately.
Oh please. You can’t prove a thing – whether it me being wrong, or you being right.
Apparently, the RuAF version of the N001V has some “special” functions that have not been revealed – a similar claim as to the new NIIP AESA for the PAK-FA.
The former could well be considered an APG-70 on steroids.
I know this, but it is just a little better than N001VE.
And it can’t be better than Bars in Muiti-aircraft attack and some more.
Su-27SM use N001VEP,it is as good as N001VE for Su-30MKK/MKK2 or littile better.
And N001VEP can’t be better than Bars
But Su-27SM have AL-31FM1 and new FBW.
So,T/W and Wingloading of Su-27SM is sightly better than Su-30MKI
But the problem is Su-30MKI have TVC
