    Vikraal,

I have never heard such poor and immature arguments. J-10 and F-16’s are 2 completely different platforms. Pinko truly does understand this while you off somewhere in Never-Never Land. What you’ve mentioned about the RSAF is complete B.S. every pilot is different. I really don’t give a you know what, if the MKI’s fought USAF F-16’s or the bisons challenged the RSAF F-16’s. Its like punting a football and making it land in the same spot twice. There are way to many differences.

I doubt the reduction in munber was due that fact

Tell ya what. How much do you think you know of my countries Air Force? The other F-16’s that are being provided are from American Aid. While Pakistan’s funds where put to the J-10 due to the fact of America’s un-reliability. And also what you mentioned about the J-10’s not destroying the SU-27’s is crap, considering that this news is coming from a guy who is a moderator in 2-3 of the top forum and to further back that up, comes from China.

J-10 is still too early for PAF, Not sure which engine, not sure which Radar…it still needs some time to mature.

Nah, i wouldn’t agree with that. The J-10 is already in operation with a Division in China. And I don’t believe its too far from joining “real” service. An educated guess of mine is that the Pakistan Air Force will set a complete order in 1.5 years. Now i said that becasue the PAF is in a great need for new fighters. If we want to avoids things like what is written on my first ever post on this forum, I would suggest that we’d better put our modernization plan to faster rate.

Hello my friends! I have some bad news…

    Pakistani air force jet crashes

Killing pilot, spokesman says ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) _ An air force fighter aircraft crashed on a training flight near Attock on Wednesday, killing the pilot but causing no damage or casualties on the ground, a spokesman said. The Chinese-made F-7 went down due to technical problems, air force spokesman Commodore Sarfraz Ahmad said.

At times like this, i have really wanted the Pakistan Air Force to put its Modernization program at a faster pace. The JF-17 Thunder Aircraft is coming through properly and with the news of purchasing the highly agile J-10/F-10 . Pakistan is yet to place an order for around 35-40 new Air craft (2 squadrons) This new airplane will have capabilities from shooting BVR missiles to having a fully digital Fly-by wire system to provide artificial durability. The PAF is yet to “fully” place an order and I am thinking that it wil probably be an order of about 11 J-10 Bravo’s and the others would be the normal Alpha standard. It is said that the WS-10A can increase the J-10’s speed due to its intense thrust. The SD-10 would mainly be the J-10’s Air to Air BVR missile , considering that the PAF wants to get more used to Chinese technology. The Chinese technology is getting better and better.

I addition to that i’d like to mention that the decreaase in the PAF’s requirements for F-16’s from 55 to 24-36 was done because the PAF wanted to purchase the J-10 without….lets say “hurting the United States’ feelings” . Personally I see the PAF like this in the future

    F-16 MLU – 64
    F-16 C/D – 24-36
    J-10 A/B – 35-40
    JF-17 – 150+
