Hi
When I was at Liverpool (Speke) Airport there was a story going around that at the end of WW2 they dumped and buried all the a/c that were there and were surplus to requirements. These were supposed to have been bueried in the area of 17 Threshold by the Link . I do remember going to the old gun calib site the firing butts were approx 100yds to the left of the then Electrical “B” Station and this area was then a fire practice site with an old DC 6 or 4 of Starways Airline.:) 🙂
They should hang murderers and child offenders once convicted on an ELASTIC type rope so that they bounce around a bit, it gives them time to think when death will come and time for Anmesty Int to complainabout their cruel death without thinking of the poor relatives of the person offended (killed or raped). 😡

Hi RobAnt
The 50 shaped formation was at REF Finningley Royal Display (50th Anniv of the RAF) and was JPs. I have some old silent film of it also the Vulcan Scramble that someone mentioned.
Liverpool (the old airport) in the 70s when an EE Lightning went the full length of the crowd line at no more than 150ft in re-heat and just below the sound barrier. It came as such a shock that I actually saw a baby jump out of its pram with the sudden sound.:D 😀 😀
