    Hi
All I know is that the Hawker Hardy came from NO 7/ later 7f Squadron ADCC/ATC . They had it in the 40s when they were based in Heath Road School now a housing development. They got rid of it because (believe it not) because COWS were eating and damaging the fabric. Further to this I will PM you.:D:D

I worked with someone who had been in the forces 1941/45 and when he was based at Speke (THE OLD) Airport in Liverpool he was part od the launch system crew “ie the catapult” training Aircrew for the CAM ships.
If you can get hold of any OLD OVERHEAD PIC’S OF THE OLD SPEKE AIRPORT you can see where tho catapult was (it’s just to the LEFT of the Main entrance beyond the OLD INT TERMINAL/Hangar. FOLA may have this photo,
Hope this is of some Help ???

    Hi
I remember in the 80s ? whilst there was an ATC Camp and they were using a grassed area approx 50yds to the side of the runway at Waddo, for the Chipmunks to give AEF flights ther was a 44 Sqdn Vulcan practicing for a display. We got more entertainment sitting in deck chairs near the runway and watching him that a lot of Cadets got from flying and the Vulcan did everything but fly inverted.
PS and he was practicing every evening for 1 week. ;);)
