Not BBMF Spit as it didn’t take off until 19:30ish last night and landed just before 21:00. Was over Shrivenham and High Wycombe. Also was clipped wing Mk XV1 TE311.
Sorry mate but you have completely lost me!!!!
I was brought up in Silloth, and only knew the airfield as a race track. Didn’t know its history until I joined BBMF. Can’t believe how much is still there.
Happy Birthday, just started reading his book, its a fascinating book.
2 x BBMF Spitfires have landed at Newcastle for the night if that helps.
Hello, just checked planning board. Looks like 12:00 and would appear to be over Woodhouse railway station if that helps.
[QUOTE=brataccas;1975320]If anyones interested in a previous find which has plenty of serials etc, someone told me its a pneumatic valve from a spitfire for the gun cannon. It has a visable dataplate but unfortunatly its worn away so I cant read it. some pics:
That is a pressure regulating valve. They are on our Lanc, Hurri and Spits.
Is there any way of telling which Spitfire is which on the Excel spreadsheet on the BBMF website for this years display season ?
🙂
No there isnt. We dont know until that week. The numbers just mean we have 5 spits to use.
