Talking of BBMF doors, I do wish they’d leave the two top escape hatches shut on the Lanc- flying around with them open might make a nice cool draft through the stuffy fuselage, but it spoils the look of the thing for me!
Sorry but I take breathing over looking nice!!!:)
Yeah i bet it was well worth it tho, What a veiw you would have from there.
It’s not a bad view!!
The pictures are great, you do know that we are looking all the time for pictures for our calendar and website?
That chap in the Lanc nose looks a bit tired!! Just got back to base, long weekend!!
It was a nice little show. Have you got any more pictures of the BBMF Dakota, especially static as we were slowly burning stood outside it!!
Really must make sure my sandwich box is not in view when people are taking pictures!!
I was at Biggin Hill to refuel him there and back.
Pilot was the BBMF boss Smithy!!
Hey Norm, does that include the XVI and 21?!:diablo:
What do you think?
Get well soon chap, explains why you haven’t answered pm’s. Planning trip to Cornwall next month to have a look at Shack at St Mawgan, hopefully might see you there.
Flare chute, not used for such any more but it is what you first see when you look in the door.
Yes was us, doing flypast at the county hall, impressive flying over Nottm hanging out the back waving!!
I was at Eindhoven, servicing the Dakota, that was a long day. Taxi at 7am (6am UK time) and finished back at Coningsby after Southport Airshow at 7pm. Impressive watching the jumpers loading at Eindhoven.
BBMF, holds functions there all year round. All good. I have never had a reason to complain, one of the waitresses is OK (my daughter!).
Came home twenty mins early, nearly caught us out!!
Hopefully putting up 4 Hurris for Duxford Sat/Sun.
So its not the main inboard fuel c0ck you need but the outboard one???
Peter, thats correct.
I’ve been following this thread from the sidelines : interesting to see the rapid response akin to stirring up a hornet’s nest as a result of the rather non-gracious initial request from the anonymous BBMF member. I suppose you guys would know who it was. What is gratifying though is the way those that can help are pulling out the stops to do so. Well done you lads, and shame on the individual for his ill-chosen own shot in the foot. 😉
I have apologised for my initial response and have got the answers I wanted. I just wanted some quick replies.
