    Ruskins ‘Vera’

I love the first post rebuild flight of vera after Ruskin and his oppo’s have brought her back from the brink. and the look on Jack’s face (complete with nervous twitch) as he wrestles the ill trimmed Dak into the air with Tony Hatch’s musical score in the background! Makes your hairs stand up on the back of your neck.

Hairy flying! ( and not just on his face!)

I wouldnt be at all surprised if he didnt get called upon by some governing body(CAA?) In light of his aerial capers, however i must say that in todays world of rules and regulations in everything that we do i found it quite refreshing to see this chap with his hodge bodge of piping and his seat belt happily blowing in the breeze! refuelling his machine in mid flight.:)

    Dakota quandry??

me wonders if Air Atlantique didnt lend a helping hand, werent they based in blackpool around that time? a phone call to the historic flight at coventry may yield some fruit, and Aces High down at Dunsfold? were very helpful when i was searching for film props etc from the original series.
