the best way to escape this is get some emery tape .wrap it around the corroded pipe and sand away til all rust and pitting has gone, then smear liberally with thick grease, theyll never know!

Well we used to lead the way in all sorts of aviation matters, we very nearly went mach1, but let the yanks take it away, we had
an airliner industry, weapons, radar, and even in recent times we let arguably the most advanced maritime recon aircraft the world has known be retired and scrapped to no doubt appease the yanks! its a shame but our reliance on the Americans has gone too far to pull back now, just grab a RAF yearbook and look at what we can truly call british now operating in our own air force and youll see just how bad things are!.

Yeh great news, it appears Mr Collett has yet another large chunk of British metal he can leave to rot if things dont go well down in Cornwall for him. There should have been a clause in that contract. ‘you can have a VC10 once youve sorted a good home for the Nimrod that youve left rotting down in Coventry which we gave you three years ago!’.

i GUESS THERE ARENT TOO MANY CONTRACTS TO BE HAD FOR SOMETHING THE SIZE OF A MARS! THERE APPEARS TO BE A BIGGER CALLING FOR THE CANADAIR CLs NOWADAYS, AND ANYWAY, DO YOU GROUND A MARS? OR IS IT BEACHED OR WATERED?

To be honest i think they change their minds more often than they change their underwear! Theyll tell you anything to keep the money coming in, dont get me wrong i love seeing the old lady fly,and ive donated a sizeable chunk of cash over the last five or six years to help keep her in the air, but i think the main interests is to keep the Doctors pockets bulging these days, as hes told us himself he has no pension and therefore he needs to keep creaming a bit off the top during these twilight years of operation, quite what he’ll do next is anyones guess, afterdinner speeches, forums on fund raising for other charities, one things for sure his mortgage will be paid, i doubt the same goes for many of the other employees of vtts trust! Who seemingly live and work hand to mouth awaiting the sliding scale to reach its quarterly goal.Ive said it before and ill say it again, send her off to Brunty now before something else goes u/s which they cant repair and shes ground bound at Robin hood with her only alternative being taken to Brunty in five sections! Her future at RH cant be guaranteed if that airport expands theyll have no plans for an education centre and little time to allow an old corroding Vbomber to pound up and down a live runway on highdays and holidays!

I wonder how stripped back those airframes were for the Tate modern? There are no puddles of oil, hydraulic fluid, fuel, nothing?? or did they have a guy permanently mopping round them?
