If anyone really wants to find out why there is no Fighter Meet Airshow at North Weald ,the person to ask is Paul Warren Wilson ,you will find him Flying the Catalina at Duxford ,the other 2 people who started the whole thing are no longer with us ,John Watts and Arthur Gibson ,but i think you will find i was correct in my earlier post ,gone off track about the Hanger 11 Hurricane ,i never repeat what ive been told , to you know who !!!

yes your right ,i agree with you ,i went on saturday to Duxford and for the top notch entrance fee the display list was not as good as it should have been ,still it was good to see the Vulcan ,i dont go in to Duxford nowdays ,,too expensive , i went to the Seething Airshow today ,,and that was much better value for money £5 each entrance fee ,,and more enjoyable than Duxford ,,must go next year ,,to the Seething Air show

Does anyone on here know if this machine still belongs to the OFMC ,only i seem to remember about7 or 8 years ago the OFMC had a ground crew for this machine and i did see it run up a few times ,live at DX ,as they had a plan to get it flying at DX ,but then someone said it was on some cold war museum list with the russians ,so for this reason it would never fly again ,but I,m sure the OFMC did have a plan to fly it again ,am i right in saying Mark Hanna flew in it while serving in the RAF ??

I think he means the F86 ,it is this friday and i went last year and if your going to see an Airshow then your NOT going to see one , all i saw last year was a couple of very quick flypasts by the F15,s from Lakenheath ,a very quick fly by by a KC135 ,who was miles up in the sky ,,should be a very small display by the f86 and Mustang and that was it ,its more of a ground based event ,rather than a flying display ,i never go in to Duxford nowdays as they charge too much in my opinion ,but if your interested in events on the ground ,then it should be ok ,bring back Mildenhall ,,thats what we want !!

Hi Tony ,i have not seen the video Spitfire 98 ,but have seen Mark flying the Hunter at Duxford ,think it was the Hunter in the Swiss markings, ,well the Swiss Airforce sold off their Hunter fleet some years back ,yes Mark was always the Best ,i was at Biggin this year ,,but a long way to travel now we have moved from Essex to Norfolk ,but worth the trip down ,

I for one was really upset when i heard Mark Hanna had got killed in a flying accident ,and my wife and i took flowers to his grave every Christmas for the first few years ,and yet i never got to know him in person ,only seeing him fly at Air displays over many years ,it was a real shock ,i dont enjoy Airshows so much now days

Hello Bradburger its a shame i cant see any these videos of mark as im still on dial up here,i did see mark at the Rochester airshow ,i think i am right in saying it was the last airshow at rochester as the people that ran the show lost a lot of money ,and no more airshows were held at rochester after that ? Bradburger were you connected with the OFMC web site at one time ?
