They had quite a good Airshow at Shipdham about 4 years ago ,only the one ,i wonder why only the one ? i guess its all these slip or trip people floating about making false claims for falling over ,same thing for Bentwaters,Rougham, Biggin,Lowestoft,

I wonder what happened to the Bentwaters Airshow ? They only had one show,think it was 3 years ago when James May was walking round there ,what a very very popular and great airshow ,one of the locals was heard to say ,this will be the only Air Show held here ,the locals are moaning about all the traffic noise and the people here ,but we were told it will be held every two years ,then guess what NOTHING , anyone know the real reason why they had no more shows,im sure they didnt lose money over staging the show ,seems like a few locals moaning spoil it for the many !! i would say its an ideal venue for an Airshow ,i went to the show,s years ago when the USAF were there ,great times !!

I used to repair the Collins 618-T3 hf radio used in the Sikorsky ,a nice radio still in use today ,400 watts pep output ,frequency 2 to 30 mhz

Having worked in Avionics repairs for many years, now retired ,i wonder if anyone in the know on here can tell me if the BBMF still use Marconi AD120 Radio,s in their aircraft ? and if so will NX 611 use the same radio fit ?

I think it was more to do with the upmarket locals moaning about traffic and Aircraft noise more than anything else ,,same thing at the Bentwaters airshow 3 years ago ,very very popular for a first airshow ,and as i was walking around there ,i overheard a local say ,,well this will be a one off ,we don,t like all this disruption to the road here ,then they said oh ,,Bentwaters airshow will be every 2 years ,but as it turned out there will be no more airshow,s at Bentwaters ,an ideal venue for an Airshow i would have said , the bus tour was very good by the way

I can,t understand why they stopped what was a very very popular show ,it was always packed to the limits,they could have doubled the entrance fee and it would still have been packed ,i suspect it was due to some of the upmarket locals complaining about the local traffic and noise from the show ,a lot of people enjoyed the Biggin Air Show ,sadly missed !!!

They looked in a pretty poor state when i was down there last in the summer time,perhaps if they do get one of them up and running they can do Taxi rides for Joe Public , that would bring in some much needed revenue
