when were pictures taken on google earth ?
A year if not 2 ago, it doesnt have the new remote stands on, or the start of the construction of the new tower, even MS maps is out of date.
Have you tried Google earth??
yes i have been using them up to now but they are about 2 years out of date
progress so far:
first image is my current progress with google maps overlay to position everything.
and the second is the original that comes with the default installation of Microsoft Flight Simulator 9
Green circles represent parking spots, blue lines taxiways.
i also need:
photos of the taxiway signs that are in use at NCL, i know its highly unlikly to get photos of all but the more the better
i appreciate any help with this
wow better than sky news photos
But wasn’t that a computer issue ? Also… the Air Canada ‘Gimli Glider’ incident in the early 80’s was caused by fuel miscalculations owing to a mix up of imperial and metric measurments.
No it was caused by a maintenence issue, the engineers fitted an incorrect bracket in the engine that holds the fuel line, which resulted in it cutting the fuel line leaking fuel.
looking on airliners there seem to be a lot of photos of 777 that have made emergency landings due to Engine/Fuel and hydraulic problems?
BA willy Walsh talking to sky news now
im now intrigued on how they plan on removing the a/c?
will they strip it down into smaller segmants and move them indidualy?
jack it onto some kind of trolley?
you have to think though, if we hadn’t had the amount of rain in the last couple of days would the damage be more severe with the ground being more “solid” and dry, at least we can be gratefull that the ground was so boggy.
Heathrow have now Re-Opened the southern runway for Departure only, according to sky news.
will be interested to see the AAIB report once it is finnaly published!
BA and heathrow entried on wikipedia have already been updated to reflect todays event
sky news talking to an airport employee stated the aircraft was travelling increadibly slow at a high angle of descent!!
Sky News are starting to make it sound worse by saying the wing “splintered” becuase of the engine digging in!
They have just been speaking to one of the PAX on sky news he says it was all going normal then the a/c just “suddenly dropped”???
one psgr has said he didn’t realise anything was up until he was evacuated…just a bit bumpy..)
Ahhh come on, how the hell can he say that he though everything was normal:confused:  , unless he has never flown before!!
what i find ammusing is if you look the flight up on the heathrow site it returns:
13:00 BA038 BEIJING LANDED 1242
You reckon?
im sure i heard on the news there a/c still taxing around so i would have though they are still acepting t/o and landings, all be it reduced with some flights being diverted to MAN etc.
Is that Marky Mark on his Travel Report trips?
