Heads up guys i read in the paper Singapore Airline are putting X no of tickets on Ebay i think for the first flight just checked on .com and can’t see any yet?
they are gonna go quick and pricey
WOW, and people over here have the nerve to complain about BA’s reputation for loosing bags lol, sad luck mate, surely there must be more you can claim from them, as you put your trust in the airline that they are going to look after your bags from Point A to Point B
I so want one of them Concorde things in my garden it looks amazing. must be thatch kinda thing? it looks like its been weaved etc.
i stand corrected about the OnurAir A321, it was used this morning.
they were taking of and landing on 07 and 25 all day today, the afternoon KLM Amsterdam departed runway 07 with an 07 tailwind
as for the go-arounds quite a few a/c did think the general rule from ATC was stop before the Rapid Exit or go around as i don’t think there was room at the 07 holding point to do a u-turn due to all the utilities surrounding the conked out tonka  after the utilities were gone, they were exiting the runway from the 07 end, i think the Finnair (XL) was the first aircraft that did.
i caught that aircraft pity didnt have a decent camera other than my crap phone 🙁
one thing did confuse me about that tornado that brought a tug and towbar over from the GA Side to tow the Tornado after attaching it up and waiting about 15 mins the tug left the tornade at A1? unless there wasent space to park it up on remote like they normaly do?
ahhh G-CELO flew back into NCL today, the Lourdes flight, the one flight a year that makes my job hell pushing wheelchairs, imagine, 2 737’s where 50% of the passengers are all in wheelchairs 🙁
Regarding the OnurAir in the 5 months i’ve worked there i’ve not seen them use a 321, it usualy a 300, CRJ i think, and there is one other aircraft they normaly use not sure what it is though can’t remember.
one thing that always amazes me about the A300 and A330 is that a photo never give you the full impression on their size, when you stand next to one they are MASSIVE, even an A321 dwarfs a 737, it realy does make you wonder how something as big as the A330 acctualy flies, hell the A330 makes a 757 looks puny.
as for the tornado engine faliure, i heard the brakes went up when it landed as they airport engines sprayed foam around the front of the aircraft, there was all the airport engines, 3 local engines and 1 ambulance in attendance, as of 5pm the tornado was still parked of the right of A1 holding point, with the crew sunbathing under the wing 😛
makes you wonder how much they paid the inspectors to get what was it “Europes best airline”?
Have you ever seen Domestic Arrivals at NCL on a night 😮
there has to be 50+ Rush bags of the LHR, BA seems to be the only airline that has rush bags?
not even Intl flight have as many Rush Bags as the LHR, hell not even easyJet lose as many bags as BA, i guess thats why they have a Swissport Baggage desk in Domestic Reclaim.
every time the LHR comes in all you hear over the tannoy is “Can Passengers X & Y recently arrive of BA Flight xxx from London Heathrow Please report to the baggage desk”
Christ, watching that video especialy the clip at the end where you see the explosion is so spooky, it is just so hard to believe in the following minutes everyone on board will be dead, it’s very rare you get to see the last seconds.
surely if the pilot had all that extra speed they would have been able to climb out easy enough, why did he wait to try to pull up?
i know the “Fly By Wire” system only allows a certain amount of pitch to prevent a stall, but surely had the pilot pulled up in enough time, he would have cleared the buildings?
Does anyone know the a/c’s reg?
a post on this forum states the a/c’s reg to be PT-MBK
yet a photo on A.net tells it to be: PR-MBK – i think it would more than likely be PR-MBK as all the companys ac start with PR

google not all that good for getting pics of Guppys
is Embraer Brazilian?
wow learn something new everyday, don’t see Embrear all to often Flybe are the only ones that operate them in and out of NCL and even then that is rare its normaly a Dash 8 i think.
I agree 100%, questions do need to be asked, although I’m not sure there’s anything to be gained from asking them here. Such questions have been asked in the forums of a certain worldwide aviation photography website and it’s turned into nothing more than a pathetic ‘I know more than you’ slanging match which, quite frankly, disgusts me when the event they’re referring to concerns such tragic circumstances. I’m not by any means suggesting this thread will end up the same way, but perhaps we’d be wise to see what the official report says instead of speculating.
Please understand i’m not saying the questions sould be answers here i was refering to the investigation that will follow, and i have no intention of my post starting a slanging match 🙂
With regard to your being saddened seeing people boarding aircraft as often as you do, in a way I can understand perfectly what you mean. The thought has often crossed my mind when I’ve been sat beside some random runway with my camera how quickly it could all come to a terrible end. As I said earlier, I find it very difficult to come to terms with the fact these machines I consider to be so beautiful and graceful can end their existance so horrifically, sometimes taking hundreds of people with them. Aviation is a wonderful thing. 🙂

it’s just a fact of life anything we do in everyday life has that risk driving to work, walking down the street, but we live with it and get on without worrying about it.
its the fact that flight is a wonderfull thing that keeps the planes flying, without people who enjoy flying, there would be no pilots, taking us to places we would never have normaly gone.
lets just hope that this accident brings in new practices or recomendations that will prevent this tragedy from happening again.
according to the news, firefighter have removed at least 90 bodies from the scene, still early estimates are that of 200 people feared dead.:(
working around aircraft day in day out has made me feel saddened a lot more than i would normaly as i see people stepping into these Tubes with wings ona daily basis, fact is a place could crash at any time for any reason, it just happened to be this unlucky flight.
a few questions need to be asked though:
the pilot know the weather conditions should he have re routed to another airfield (yeah granted he may not have know the airfield in question very well to know the runway condition) maybe that should have been raised by the Tower controller?
Why was the runway used in that weather, if the airport knew there had been an incident the previous day, due to the same reason???
from what i’ve read it doesn’t sound like the local government will be happy to do anything about the runway, there needs to be a world wide pressure placed on the local government on the issue maybe?
there is going to be a lot of unanswered questions now, and a lot of families demanding answers, lets hope they get the answers they are looking for.
I don’t intend on upsetting anyone, or starting an argument here, but it something that going to crop up in the next few following weeks.
anyway. Rest In Peace, to all who perished, and condolences to the familys.
