RE: Lydd Manston Southend & Shoreham

Isn’t Manston used as an Air Atlanta Icelandic 747 base??? And also is used as a cargo airport?

Well NCL had there BA CPH route cut, simply because the DH8’s in BRS kept breaking down and they needed the a/c there, even though pax fiures were pretty good. Hopefully, someone can come in and re-start this route.

Maybe Newcastle should change to Gazza International or Jack Charlton International Airport? Hehe

Well, I just got back from Menorca, flew with Airtours A320 from Newcastle. We had a 3 hour delay on the way out, because the airport at Mahon was absolutly packed, then when we got there we had to hire a car as the queue for the taxi’s was nearly a mile long! I havent seen what it was like in Palma, but must have been terrible. A JMC 757 had been sitting in NCL, since 5PM the afternoon before, where it was going to Mahon also, so I wasnt too badly affected.
BTW, Airtours are a great airline, as I found out.

Its a decent airport for cargo a/c. Otherwise you only regularly see Ryanair a/c and some charter flights. I think Ryanair should build up more from the airport and hopefully more cargo flighs as well.

Has anyone seen the JMC 753 yet? It operates through NCL on a MAN-NCL-GIR-NCL-MAN flight once a week.

    RE: Charter airline

bmi fly quite a lot of charters on their own, however they also fly some charters for Air 2000 using bmi a/c. However, I think this is only from EMA.

Newcastle had a very good one until the terminal was expanded. Now the one they have got is ok, but not nearly as good as the old one.
Manchester has a very good one, as does Heathrow.
Does Prestwick still have its spectator terrace??

Air France use a mixture of A320 and B737 a/c on the CDG-MAN route. They no longer have the A300 in their fleet, but do have the A310.
There is only 1 female in here?? I have been on other forums and there is always at least 10 females that I know off so it surprises me that there is only 1.

I have heard that the next UK destination for CO after STN will be Edinburgh which doesnt surprise me. However, dont rule out CO operating to NCL in the future with 757.
