1.Think about it..China is a bigger country that requires more planes, more faster. While we can actually wait considering the American embargo. China produces 2-3 J-10’s per month, meaning that Pakistan’s request of 2 squadrons would be fulfilled in 1.5 years. And it would take us 1.5 years to order these because China need to gather up its things first. After all our ally is a hidden super–power 😉

2.When did I say we where using American aid to purchase Chinese equipment? The other F-16’s that are being provided are from American Aid. While Pakistan’s funds where put to the J-10 due to the fact of America’s un-reliability. read that twice and then reply in your next post. and by the way, you think America would even provide us with aid if we spend it on Chinese defence equipment?

3.Pakistan is actually helping by putting more than 8,000 troops around the Pak-Afghan borders. Maybe you did’nt open the news channel. Not to mention our efforts to keep those terrorists out. Any country would take advantages of its aid.

    Dear Sir,

First of all, my “BRAIN” needs input. I guess yours does not to make educated guesses. These inputs can be credible or not.

Your ally can do this your ally can do that. Excatly my point. But what can the allies ally do?

If suppose US of A does not give you F-16’s in alms you will have to redirect some internal funds to get the same. hence the question of being self sufficient. Again the question, what can the allies ally do?

You mean to say that you are awaiting with your mouths drooling over the possibility that one fine day US of A will give you in alms you super weapon – the F-16. However you still dont trust your ally in war against terrorism. Where as you save your hard earned moeny for giving it to your ally (the chinese) while using someone elses money to solve your internal problems. 😮

By the way why are you putting troops around the Pak – Afghan border? to stop illegal immigration i hope. Whats so special in doing so?

Cheers for your educated guesses by the way.

An educated guess of mine is that the Pakistan Air Force will set a complete order in 1.5 years.

    Dear Sir,

Where did you get educated to make this educated guess? Does this education also teaches you that Americans are fools and wont know that you are indirectly spending their aid money to buy chinese? Last but not the least, by when do you think will your country stop accepting aid money for it defence use.

    That all for now.

NEW DELHI: With Pakistan testing its new ‘Babur’ cruise missile for the second time last month, the Army has speeded up its plan to raise a special regiment for the land version of India’s own BrahMos supersonic cruise missile.

Already equipped with missile groups to handle the 150-km Prithvi, 700-800-km Agni-I and 2,000-km-plus Agni-II ballistic missiles, the Army’s new BrahMos regiment will include three batteries of six-road mobile autonomous launchers each.

“The land-to-land version of BrahMos, which flies at a 2.8 Mach speed, was tested for the first time at Pokhran in December 2004. Since then, preparations were afoot to induct the road mobile complex of this missile in the Army,” said an official.

“With terrain-hugging and infrared seeking capabilities, the Army will use BrahMos as its precision-strike weapon. It has a strike range of 300 km, which can be enhanced further,” he added. :diablo: :diablo:

    NATIONAL
    TYAGI
IAF seeks 126 new aircraft: Tyagi

New Delhi, Mar 31 (PTI) Keeping in view the changing geo-economic situation, the Indian Air Force is expanding its reach to protect its areas of interest and sending request for proposal to acquire 126 new aircraft, Air Chief Marshal S P Tyagi has said. “India has been making progress in the field of economy and it would continue to march forward in the future. In this context trade and business will become more important so would be its security,” he said in an interview to India TV. He said the IAF would be sending request for proposal for 126 aircraft within one-two weeks. Tyagi said if economics assumes importance, then providing security to related subjects also assume importance. “Provision of security to mineral reserves and oil will assume importance,” he said. He said India would acquire the Advanced Air Warning and Control System (AWACS) by the end of next year, which would extend the reach of the Air Force. Stressing on the importance of integration of defence systems, Tyagi said the country would need to have a separate organisation to expolit space technology and the use of military satellites. “The future is very exciting. I wish that India, its citizens and the Air Force should pay attention to the future. The Air Force has an altogether different role to play as compared to what we have done so far in history,” he said. On accidents of MiG aircraft, the Air Chief said the frequency of accidents have been decreasing consistently. “Compared with the earlier days the accidents have been reduced to 1/10th of what it was earlier,” he said.

Is that what you are Raids13? A toilet ?

Remember mods: I didn’t started the
toilet insult, he did. So don’t blame me for it.

Matter of factly, if I were one of the mods
(hypothetically of course), I’d demand to know why these people
would enjoy using insults to solve problems.

    “Dummies who can’t put up
an argument always seems to turn hostile
I suppose is how life works…”

Anyway, Raids, I expected the worst for standing up to what
I believe is right and that includes giving up my previlages to surf in AFM if that’s
what’ll become of it. But, are you prepared to sacrafice same?

Like the word “red”, the word “toilet” is also an insult and you know it,
Raids. There’s just simply no need for “mods-bypassed/missed” words like that, but, lucky
ducky you — it’s seems to have been exempted from the rules here.

    Red Koreans and Red Germans???
No wanted wanted the challenge here???
    I guess not. Shishhhh!!!!!

    Somethings gotta give. It’s either
going to be me or it’s going to be changes for the better of
the atitudes. I hope it’s the latter.

    Dear Edisonone,

    Request you to please clarify
that whether you are ashamed/not proud
to be living in a Red (read commie) country.

What you dearly call racism is
not what it seems to the rest
of us. And even if it is shoudl you not
be proud of the ideology of your nation?
or is it that you despise communism?
And cant bear to be associated with the
    clour red?

As far as your desicison to leave AFM forums
for us earthly creatures. well we have already
seen your commitment. Instead of blaming Frank
or any other Mod, why dont you look into your
    own school of reasoning.

rest all as usual is fine from our end, hows life
    under the red sun?

Love for all my Chini Bhai’s

    LD CCS
CCS clears Army acquiring 20 Dhruv ALH
    NEW DELHI, MAR 30 (PTI)
Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) tonight cleared the way for Army acquiring 20 indigenously-built Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH) and approved procurement of seven radars for the Air Force.

The CCS also approved the Defence Cooperation Agreement signed by India and France recently, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee told reporters after the hour-long meeting chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The meeting also decided to extend the Security-Related Expenditure (SRE) scheme to fight naxalism for another five years, a move that will benefit 76 districts across nine states.

The 20 ALH helicopters will be procured by the Army at a cost of Rs 955 crore.

The ALH copters, being built at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), are presently grounded for detailed flight examination after one of them crashed near Hyderabad recently.

The choppers are expected to be certified air-worthy soon with some rectifications carried out on them, officials said.

Signalling that the Defence Ministry intended to give a go-ahead to acquisition of more 130 MM guns upgraded to 155 MM calibre, the CCS approved procurement of special vehicles for the carriage of these weapon systems from Bangalore-based Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) at a cost of Rs 536 crore.

The Russian guns are being upgraded by the Israeli company Soltem.
