Shouldn’t we have an Army Aviation Forum now?

We do have the Naval Aviation Forum.

    Just a thought.

Anyway, if in doubt, I recommend for all to give her a visit.
Hey! You have everything to gain and nothing to lose with such a visit. I mean
aside from the airfare, a thousand dollars USD in spending money and you’ll live like a King in
China and no gratitutes are required though it’s your option.

    Saub,

Thats a new one to me too.. any more details as to where it is located in Itanagar? (Some school? road roundabout? airport? etc.

    Jagan

Last when i saw the aircraft, it was in a botonical garden, of all the places on earth. Popularly known as the “Forest Park”, near Bank Tinali.

What amazes me now is we dont have any airstrip in Itanagar. How did they manage to get it there?

The state of the airframe was very poor even about 15yrs back. I remember going into the engine bay and try to come out of the intakes. The tires were all punctred. all piping, rubber, and anything that could be removed with slight force was already taken by the locals.

Current status can be reported by the CM’s office. I am sure they will reply as they have nothing better to do, trust me on that.

    Pic coming soon.

    Hi Gauntlet,

The first one: Amazing find. Should shut up a lot of critics. Well i guess the flanker will be able to carry more ordinance when the carrier is going full steam head wind.

In the second pic it looks like a maintainence nightmare.

Jagan dont worry you will get real good shots of this beauty. It is near the SRS mall near sec-9 Faridabad.

I also reported another aircraft to your website. A gnat in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh last year. I think i have one pic of that aircraft with me sitting on the wing. But its just that me and the wing :(. I was about 8-9 yrs old when my dad took that pic. will try and search scan and post it here.

I was in for a surprise today.

I went to pick my wife up from my in-laws house in fardabad sec-9.

I was dead tired by doing the night shift then driving over to faridabad in the morning. Ok enough of my ranting. coming to the point. :p

I saw a IAF hunter at the Faridabad Town Park. I have been driving down that road for so long and never saw it till yesterday morning. Its been 6 years i got a chance to sit in the hunters cockpit. 🙁

I however did not stop to make the war-bird a personal visit but will surely do so with my Nikkon the next time I go to my In-laws. It sure did have some interesting camo.

Has anyone else seen this machine?

Watch for this space :diablo: :diablo:
