Whats to say buyer did not do both before bidding?
Nothing, so why all the speculation from people who know jack as to whats wrong with it?:D
Has anyone thought that the owner might not be able to afford the running costs, with AVGAS at £2.30/Litre at some airfields? A radial twin can’t be cheap, and being operated on a Permit to Fly, can’t be used for passenger flying.
Anyone who buys an aircraft on Ebay without looking at the paperwork or surveying the condition before bidding is just dumb!

Headcorn will not be subject to Olympic Airspace Restrictions from 14 July 2012 to 15 August 2012. We are within three nautical miles of the outer edge of the Restricted Zone and will have an exemption which means that we will be fully operational during the restricted period.
Does this exemption cover you for displays as well as transits in/out of the restricted area?

Both Damyns Hall and Headcorn have displays during the Olympic restrictions, I’m not sure how they powers that be will view this, bearing in mind a Mode C transponder and a flight plan are required…..Hassle at the very least for display pilots..
I’m going on holiday:D

I hear G-BUKY has been sold to a new owner at Duxford…so it’ll be there for a long time.

As far as Rollason Turbs go, G-APNZ is currently in the Hangar at Headcorn as a partly rebuilt fuselage, G-ASAM and G-ARZM were disposed of a long time ago, following their accident in 1992 (I think), I doubt you’ll ever see them again. Small parts of both were used in the rebuild of ‘PNZ..
Only 13 of that list were actually ‘factory’ built by Rollasons, of which 9 are currently airworthy. The rest are homebuilt Druine variants…
FOUR Aeroncas flying at the Sywell Airshow????? What a fantastic idea Blue Max!:D
