Posted it in the last page. You have to follow Ajai Shukla for a while to sieve off useful info from his articles.

It hasn’t ‘declined’, it isn’t growing just as fast as expected.

    rupee is falling down

Of course none of this will change the outcome as the JF 17 also carries substantial armor.

heh ? what kind of armor ? classic RHA ? multilayered composite ? ERA ? NERA ? 😮

so I suppose if AVIC claims Thunder has a frontal RCS the size of a pin then it must also be true? 😮

yes true, Thunder RCS is the size of 10 metres long pin with intake and wings 😀

But the bigger problem is what if a Pakistani Pilot defect with his JF 17 to NATO? What about all the sensitive tech that will be reverse engineered by the wily Americans?

then China will simply sue US in US state courtlaw…:D
IPR law work in US of A 😀

Are the Chinese marketing the JF-17 like western companies? I don’t even think it has yet to participate in a major international competition. They won’t sell it to India for obvious reasons, nor South Korea and Taiwan. Egypt and the UAE are steadfast U.S. customers now. I’d bet if Israel did not have the military financial support it does, the JF-17 could be flying there. Israel and China have good defense cooperation. Brazil wants what it perceives to be a more advanced fighter. In time, they’ll be building their own. Argentina would be a good customer for the JF-17, if they had the $$$. Politics and economics is controlling sales in that arena. Not because the JF-17 is no good.

JF-17 licensed built by FMA Argentina would be interesting…
Another possible market is African nation…..China influence growing stronger in Africa…

the only thing Philippine can do is ask for help from other nation…
their navy and airforce ve been neglected for many many years and have no chance against china….

their neighbour may support philippine as they too, can be victims of this claim but they wont dare to do that openly…..

any chance US involved in this ?

lol i laugh. China no need to copy Russian anymore. J-20 is proof China surpass Russia in airplanes. China decide to go full 100% original design and 100% stealth. Russia decide to make stealth flanker instead.

Im not sure about China surpass Russia and J20 is not 100% stealth too…
but indeed geometry wise it is better stealth solution (than the T50 which is compromised for the superagility). Its simple yet robust shape and size also easier to expand the plane later.
And what I like is the way project developed, not overhyped unlike PAKFA and JSF. little news in aviation leaks few years ago, not much heard about it afterwards, but suddenly it became reality…..Such is maturity we rarely saw today…
    Cant wait the operational version….

On what land? China doesn’t have enough fertile land to produce enough ethanol for its fuel needs, even if it gave up all food production & imported all its food.

Brazil can produce ethanol at a profit because it has lots of fertile land in proportion to its population.

Imports from Africa are still imports. They’re insecure as long as China does not control the sea routes, & that control is not likely.

China will remain dependent on fuel imports unless it can find huge reserves of oil or gas under its own territory or EEZ. Why do you think China is so aggressive in its ridiculous EEZ claims?

latest research show it is much more effiecient and cheaper to produce ethanol from algae instead of crop plant…. it dont need vast area so China can do too but it is new biotech and need years before applied on commercial scale…

too late for brazil though, they already destroy part of Amazon with its beautiful specieses….:(

IYes if it is technical problem it will be bad for SSJ image, very unfortunately since I really like the design….
Indonesian article I read today ask whether it is human pilot, and even questioning if sukhoi-SSJ is really advanced aircraft and if it equipped with very advanced terrain avoiding system and radar….
