actually a bit too early to talk this…
I dont even see any official pen and ink drawing of basic shape of the plane.. let alone the detail…..
but since it is korea yeah.. I expect it to be another US like aircraft with high US content…
Indonesia has been slowly trickling Su-30s in, I don’t think they will be able to make a large purchase of this kind of decades.
ehrr…. slowly trickling Su-30 and at the same time to procure more 2nd hand F-16 upgraded to bk 50 standard and 16 Super Tucano (@ rather high price IMO, we could buy Yak-130 with the price we paid for these stuff! ) and the army already got budget for big buy of 100 Leopard 2A6 (if the purchase not sabotaged by dutch legislative), Apache and MLRS… all happened in the last 3 years….
but yes, compared to its territory and to other big boys of ASEAN our budget are relatively low.
Ok, but what about the OLS for the SU-35, weights only 71kg? aint that weird either 😉 Does it mean the OLS for Su-35 cant guide A2G missiles?
http://uomz.ru/eng/index.php?page=products&pid=100175Those numbers are tricky things…could be you are right too.:D
zat ist because OLS for Su-35 using megasuperadvancedlightweight technology 😎
i’ve always missed people getting banned on this forum.:(
.
ouch… that is a great loss for you :p
I agree with the view that Su-34 is a bit of a relic from past’s operational doctries and requirements.
As a Su-24’s replacement, it would have been great if inducted in service around a decade earlier.
Right now, it will fail to get the same chance to accomplish a strike mission and/or to survive it of a Pak-Fa, that I’m inclined to think about as something more apted to strike/intediction roles than air superiority ones, and will miss any strategic relevance/meaning when the alleged Pak-Da will debut.
About the RuAF aircraft inventory, it needs to be heavily streamlined.
they are already heavily streamlined, no more flogger and fitter….
fencer and Su-34 will be operated together though as production rate of Su-34 too low to replace fencer soon….
any chance sukhoi will design side-by-side pak-fa to replace both fencer n fullback ?
Any news on reasons for 52 needing 51’s tail fin?
it is 51’s tailfin that need 52 fuselage 😀
since it japanise plane it will be called F-35J not F-35A 😉
Yes, and it makes logical sence too since Tupolev has far greater experience in designing/building heavy bombers than Sukhoi has. The ongoing consolidation of the Russian aircraft design buroes makes sence to. They are individually to small/weak to compete for foreign and domestic contracts. The same thing is happening in the USA and W Europe as well.
A somewhat “stealthified” Backfire with PAK-FA engines and radar etc should be nice… 😉
I prefer stealthified Tu-95 :p
^
it will looks better without the red deck though…
so the missle got another name
so soviet –“
so is the 3M14 land attack variant readu ?

pr. 949 oscars to be rearmed with oniks and kaliber.
I know oniks but what is kaliber
So is it a strengthening measure – rather than aerodynamic ??
Does that mean I have to make yet ANOTHER Flanker ??
Ken
yes yes and yes :p
Newer versions of the AL-31 have higher TBO rates. If only the Super-30 deal included upgrading the engines to FM2 standard…
yes… 2-3 time longer or even more compared to basic AL-31 IIRC (forget the real number)
I hopes all flanker including basic 30 and 27 can be reengined with later version AL-31, the difference is veryyyyy significant
LMAO! How blatantly ignorant is that?! Have they never looked at the latest generation of the much vaunted US SSNs for reference about build quality (since, with all due respect, hanging onto America’s coat tails is a favourite pass time of the Australian military)? Obviously not, or they would have had to confront photos such as these:

looks like unfinished boat…they will looks fine after coated (?) and painted..
other operational virginia photos is typical jet black painted, not baremetal tank like that

Strategypage is known for articles that sound like a mentally challenged child wrote them.
For example:

means they never change….
when my nation purchased 30 BMP-3 they thought we gonna invade Australia very soon…They should know there are wallaby and roo breeder in jakarta already so we dont need to invade them 🙂
wait…I forgot the pet-Koala… now we need it so much 😮
