It’s a prototype, bro. Just like this one:

Thanks for the photo, and SORRY, since I dod not want to disqualify anything on the T-50 esp. since that gap is only visible in the middle. Both outer and front and rear seams are top !?

Just one maybe stupid question, but IMO it seems as if there a wide gab between both weapon-bays doors !?

Mi-28NE, recent pic. You can see the launch detector on the fuselage.

Isn’t the NE the export version ?? … besides that it looks good in that light-grey.

DALIAN, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) — China’s refitted aircraft carrier left its shipyard at Dalian Port in northeast Liaoning Province on Wednesday morning to start its first sea trial.

Military sources said that the first sea trial was in line with schedual of the carrier’s refitting project and would not take a long time. After returning from the sea trial, the aircraft carrier will continue refit and test work.

The carrier was originally built by the former Soviet Union which named it Varyag yet failed to complete the ship’s construction before collapsing in 1991. The still-unnamed aircraft carrier was an empty shell. Ukraine disarmed it and removed its engines before selling it to China.

… sadly no photos by now.

it is not clear if j11a can use r77, true, but chronologically, didn’t the j11a come after the last batch of ubks? that would point to likelyhood of all the flankers coming after the ubks having at least same avionics.

alternatively, if the planes were modernized after being bought, during their service, it is even likelier all the j11a have r77 integrated, as why would anyone in their right mind modernized the trainer flankers but not the flankers meant for combat?

    Agreed !

as for j10b, it sure does look like a new position for rwr, especially if you look at j10a, which has a similar thingy on the side of the intake, but here in j10b thats missing and the new thingy is moved half a meter up, near the canards.

Upps … I never noticed that and so a new RWR is highly likely.

Another clear shot of J10B PT 05.

Nice … Did You notice the minor change in fron of the Canards ??? … is it a new RWR or something similar or an aerodynamic feature to increase the vortex over the canards ?

    Not all.

    Su-30MKK/MK2 (76 MKK, 24 MK2) : R-77 compatible
    Su-27UBK (3rd batch, 28 planes) : R-77 compatible
    J-11B/BS/BH/BSH : PL-12 compatible

Su-27SK, batch 1 & 2 of the Su-27UBK cannot use the R-77. The is question mark over the J-11/11A. It not clear whether they can use the R-77.

So, is this also an option for the Su-27SK’s ????

Agreed … it’s a typical Chinese step-by-step … as such the latest order will be most likely for the first Block 07 J-10B (on regiment for the PLAAF + the PAF-order) and after that – if the test with 05 are promising – Block 08 “could” be powered by the WS-10A.

You are right, but the Su-30’s have also a twin-front-gear … and this one with the R-77 has the typical single one from the UBK-trainer.

    deino,

i think the joined wing UAV looks like a mock up too. It is interesting how these new designs are being leaked out…

Hmmm … in mind of the lastet photos I think it’s actually a real one and not only a mock-up. Why should a mock up have a air-data-probe/pitot or why should they test someting with these RCS-tests/-triangles on a mock up …

But I’m interested if there are some new’s on that “thing” !?

    Sorry for OT.
It started with the J-20 need the Ventral fins or not..

Bear in mind this is not only a news thread, but also open for discussion/debate.

Agreed and really no offence ! 😉

And even if Your discussion started quite interesting … it’s now too much OT (at least for me !). :p

ÄÄhhhmmm guys … would You like to open a new tread to discuss Your personnel opinions on aerodynamics, air-show observations and so on … to admit it’s a bit anoying if one expects something new on the J-20 … and has to read Your discussion !? 😡
