It looks as if they are embarking on a huge **** covering exercise.
Standby for a round of fee increases to cover the cost of their legal expenses. 😡

Hawker restoration’s are currently in the process of restoring a Hurricane Mk.I into a two seater Hurricane.

Do you mean modifying/altering into a two seater? You can’t restore something into something it wasn’t before.

    Biggin Hill Air Fair 1965

Great clip of Neil Williams crashing a Stampe, which he describes in his book ‘Airborne’.

The commentator at the time :-

“He’s taken it behind the hangar……..and he’s left it there”

    Further food for thought

The power generated by the wind varies with the cube of the wind speed. That means that if the wind speed drops from 40mph to 20mph, the power output does not drop by 50 per cent: it drops by 87.5 per cent. At 10mph, the wind produces only 1.56 per cent of the power generated by a 40mph wind.
The wind can never become a major source of power.

The only winners are the (mainly) foreign energy companies who, to quote Donald Trump, are ruining our country.

    Thank you Bushell.

I maybe should have made it fairer.

    The parts are from in no order – Hawker Typhoon, He 111, Me 262 , Ju87 Stuka, F8 Crusader, 88mm and SD2 ; Me109.

    Also Mitchell.

You maybe should say, Me 109 or Pilatus P2. They are the same.

The bottom picture with the fuel cap labelled Kraft Stoff (naturally) is from a Pilatus P2 or Me 109.

Think calling it a “disaster” is a slight over statement.

    Planemike

Depends how much you value the countryside in its current form,(albeit fast disappearing) i.e without a 100’+ high white monstrosity every few hundred yards.

This is not about providing renewable energy. Its about making money for the (foreign) producers of the hardware.

We should be looking at the wastage of energy. Drive through a deserted industrial estate at night and see how many lights are on! How much energy and resources are wasted on yet another retail park that nobody needs or wants. Great if you are a maker of ‘To Let’ signs.

Anyone who thinks wind turbines are about saving the planet is being somewhat naive.

If this madness continues at the current rate, well all be living at the bottom of a wind turbine before too long!

    Petition signed.

    From todays Telegraph ;
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/jamesbond/9560403/Historian-reveals-the-Second-World-War-hero-who-inspired-the-creation-of-James-Bond.html

    What a stupid article.

If you want to know the story of Yeo Thomas then read ‘White Rabbit’, the harrowing tale of his work in enemy occupied France organising the various resistance groups and escape lines, always under the threat of discovery or betrayal.
This man’s bravery was on a different level to most, and he was lucky to survive, as he was eventually caught, tortured and sent to a concentration camp to await execution by being hung on a meat hook, as were many of his close associates.

Here you have someone who truly deserves to be called, Hero.

A ‘like’ button would be almost as irritating and just as pointless as a ‘Facebook’ button or a ‘Twitter’ button.

    Let’s hope it never happens.
