Yes Bruce, I agree, but maybe some negotiations have taken place between the companies that have increased there costs. Maybe some political moves…….you never know, and it should not concern us here.

David – The Falklands is modern history and it won the Tory goverment of that time a second term in office! The ‘Power of Peace’ is a statement from the Cold War era. Try and tink out of the box a bit.

And I thought no one ever went to my web site these days!
Yes XH537 now belongs to Bournemouth Aviation Museum. They did such a cracking job of the restoration and my time is at such a premium these days, I thought best. XH563, well she has been at Bruntingthorpe for two years. I did get her because VOC wanted a nose to crew train for evacuation exercises. Then they go and get XM602 from Woodford instead.
Mr Ken Ward now owns XH563, so expect its departure to Yorkshire soon.
XA903 my oldest bird and most unquie will go in time also. Some interest from New Zealand but thats a year away at the mo.
There is a master plan, but to early to say yet. So back down to just being a one Vulcan owner!

So…Anyone know who VTTSCM is yet?
Knowing Denis as I do, he does a great job showing you around the hanger. Well worth a forum visit and then a pint in the Plough afterwards.

I have done so, and it is a most excellant thread. The a/c can only be in the colourings of it service life in the RAFso say the HLF.
Personally I don’t mind the Vixen colour scheme, good for them down in Hurn.

The HLF want only the civil reg of the aircraft added to the airframe, to keep it part of the cold war era. Not withstanding we could get away with the inside ofthe bomb bay doors after the first season as a past promo was to have your name on the bomb bay door for £40.
But yes – why have the 100 or so OEM not been given the change to promote there companies involement in a book, flyer or poster. Something to think about.

What approach would you like VTTS to be like. Lets stand up and flex our wings, its our money being used here on this project.

Regarding the lack of sponsorship. You only need 100 Companies or individuals to invest £5,000 each. That’s pocket money to an awful lot of Companies and to a fair number of individuals. Perhaps instead of asking a few for a lot of money they should ask a lot of Companies for considerably less.

    Regards,

    kev35

I totally agree with Kev35 on this.

Now, we know Lombard Direct will not give me £25K. Check out my credit scoring. Thats not to say I am not capable of raising £25,000, I believe I can, but I am not going to tow the VTTS line and charge £50 for a looksee in the hanger.
I am prepared to take 3 months of work, and spend some time on this though. But I do it my way…………….

David is very approachable, yes, but he has to convince the other directors of C Walton.

At the end of the day Marshalls are being paid by VOC, it should be VOC calling the shots not Marshalls. If it takes those sort of things to ensure VOC get enough money to pay Marshalls then they should not bleat.

Not sure a web cast would actually achieve much IMO……..it would only be viewed by a relatively small number of people on forums such as this…… He/they need to get much much wider publicity in the right money areas.

Just imagine the number of people who would attend a “Girls Aloud” charity gig held at Brunters in the hanger and how much money could be raised from it…..you never know, it might even tempt a major sponsor to come on board.

What other celebrities are into planes, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Gary Numan……. I dunno how many others but might be worth a bit of investigation.

just a few of my ramblings

I’ m up for a concert and it was considered, along with a Big Day out, fireworks etc. But you won’t get planning permission and the airfield owners are into car storage and not much else.
John Tavolta wishes the project well, and sent a signed postcard of himself. Not sure on Gary Numan…… Maybe a Gary Numan gig????

However we do not have much time!

I think you will find that they would be able to put the undercarriage back on and if the CofG is OK, tow it out. Returned to taxible condition would be some years off, and I think people like us would walk away for good.
What would it take for people to draw a very big line under what has gone on and start afresh?
