Here are my tools for killing, mainly for pest control so that you veggies have a well stocked grocery shop full o carrots n turnips and they are not being eaten by rabbits and woodpigeons. Running from the right the Ithaca pump action shotgun (pigeon bat) followed by the AYA 25 sidelock side by side game gun. Next is the Ruger .243 centre fire for them problomatic foxes that just have the get the ducks n chickens followed by the Sako Finnfire .22LR that is a wizard when it comes to sorting them rabbits out. I understand peoples views on killing animals, maybe we will start a league against cruelty to veggies next. Suppose if you invest a fortune on growing crops just to get it eaten by rabbits you may be a little upset.

Hello, having spoken to the fine gentlemen of The Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight I hear that the Lanc could be airtested on monday (depending on weather). Hope this helps. Think once its flying it will probably get some hammer, so the crews can practice.

The RB199 has no mechanical overspeed govenors and it relies on its engine control computers to keep it in its cage. If there is fault, or if someone switches off the electrics that supply the computers, the engine will accelerate to destruction, with a mix of compressor and turbine blades spraying themselves over the adjacent real estate. If the jet pipes were pointing at the crowd and if the aircraft had been close to the crowdline then there would have been the potential for some serious bloodshed. This has happened before, way back to the early 1980s, but I thought they had got a grip of it now.

Is that a battery off before shutdown?. Engine change to be carried out.

Hey, it was only a joke, unc took some fab piccies but he is not the only one who can take pictures. We all take piccies when we can but crown copyright stops us publishing, however here is a taste of what we can do.

There’s more to being on BBMF than taking pictures stormin, surprised you found the time what with your hectic routine. Only joking mate , anyhow i hope your keeping the standards high now that your the training nco. Bye the way what aperture setting did you have that compact on again.

Why do you think he doesn’t work on BBMF anymore. You have to do more than just take pictures all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If i’d have known they would of kicked me off the fliight for taking pics while flying i would’nt have bothered its not like i can service the aircraft in flight but eh we all have to move on hence me being on typhoon now 🙂

Looking at the pics, especially the first one, I thought’ you can almost hear the Griffon growl! ‘ Just out of interest ,I would think that it is rather noisy in the Lanc anyway, but when another aircraft is that close to you in the tail, can you hear its engine, even with a bone dome on ?

yes you can hear the engine of the fighter clearly
