I don’t get angry at them, I just feel sorry for these people, they are sadly in need of educating as to the real symbolism and meaning of the poppy, it is not a comment on the politics or actions of any soldier or country, it is to remember those who have fallen regardless of race, religion, gender or anything else, to do this just winds up the far right and doesn’t help anyone

Maybe it should be explained to them how many muslims, sikhs, christians etc have given the ultimate sacrifice around the world for them to (as has been said) have the freedom to do what they want.

maybe an appeal to readers of the Chard and Ilminster or the other local rags might throw up something, be interesting to see if anything could be found.

We have one small child 2 1/2 and are thinking about another, and along with may friends who have recently had their first child one of the main factors in whether to have another is can we afford to provide a safe and secure environment for them?

There are a lot of responsible adults who get married, get a mortgage, work hard and provide for their kids without relying on hand outs, life isn’t always easy but it is rewarding when I am reminded that ‘daddy is drawing planes’.

Sadly the other option has for many become an acceptable way of life.

University to an extent is just an extension of this attitude these days along with the myth perpetuated by the media and shows such as x factor that you can have it all and don’t have to work for it.

I was always under the impression that in the States the Harrier initially had a very good track record due to the background of the pilots converting to it, then the training level dropped considerably resulting in a high fatality rate for a short period before training regime was altered again, however it did give the Harrier a poor reputation among some.

However does anyone have the figures for fatal accidents, compared to hours flown with Harriers and the percentage that were down to pilot error?

but the appeal has now been turned down and regardless of the taste of the joke it really is an overreaction to a harmless situation.

… seems to demean the institution.

Well a degree isn’t worth all that much these days, it’ll get your CV shortlisted and that is about it isn’t it?
