Glad to see the spaniel wasn’t forgotten, now those were images that have even for most people here I suspect unseen.
Thanks
Bet there’s a few more tales waiting to be told as well
Is it the right way up?
Watched it last night and now puzzled over the method of propulsion in an environment with zero atmosphere and while on the subject is the olive drab colour on the Daleks correct for the period, looked just a tiny shade too dark but it could have been the studio lighting.

No idea if it’s still in print but Harrier by Francis K Mason which was first printed back in 81 (my copy is an 86 reprint) has substantial amount about the P1127 and P1154, but then there’s a lot more material to write about the Harrier since then.
Just checked, some second hand copies are available on Amazon

the ‘damage’ to the photo is not very well photoshopped, the crease down the middle isn’t convincing, as for the burning at the bottom corners of the photo, far too neat and the angle of the wings of the Hurricane to the Blenheim are wrong unless it’s tipping over
can’t wait to see what it looks like with a paint job
Great read and the capacity of the tanks on that flight must have been phenomenal
what’s the situation regarding access to the old pads, just wander over if there is the opportunity or contact the museum? The more I’m reading the more I want to pop back for a visit
maybe he means he was ejected from the plane due to forces, but in these modern times the interviewer could have assumed P47 was just like modern fighters, or it is just plain lazy journalism
