Did you see the Flying Scotsman whilst you were there? I dragged my wife around there a couple of years ago promising her that she would at least see the only famous train she has heard of. Sadly the only thing to be seen was the frame and a couple of wheels as the rest of it was away being renovated!

Can’t decide between a Lightning or a Phantom.
Great shots as usual. Not easy with the weather/light.
Performance of the day for me was the Hurricane display. Best showing of one I’ve seen.
Sounds like a version of a fresnel lens used commonly by HGV drivers to eliminate blind spots by the side of their lorries see http://www.truckview.net/
Thanks Pete
Nice pics. Please post more often 🙂
Have a good one. Please post an update afterwards to let us know what actually happened.
Not the first attack on a police helicopter. The Surrey one was attached by a gang armed with axes about a month ago.
Seems a certain section of society don’t like them passing over their yards photographing their activities and have decided taking out the helicopter is a viable option.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see more similar attacks unless security is increased at all bases police operate from.
A victim of global warming. The water wasn’t cold enough anymore.

Mmmm
Many things which I wasn’t embarrassed about at the time as they were deliberate but which I now look back and think “I don’t believe you did that!”
Must be getting old.

Sadly with everything else I have to do these days I very rarely get time to just turn on the radio.
I have an aerial on the roof which makes a whole world of difference when you’re listening at home.
I started about 20 years ago with a Win 108. It is battered and bruised and won’t do half of what a modern receiver will do but it is still my preferred radio when at home.
I have a modern Icom which I take with me to airshows.
