If I was American I’d be wanting to keep it and tell the rest of the world what it can do with it’s expensive oil for a while.

I reckon the girls and the video were paid for out of a McLaren slush fund as pay back for the £50M he cost them last year;) Bet they’re enjoying every minute of it in Woking.

I have to say I’d like to see the insurance rules changed. That seemed to start the current decline and don’t seem to properly represent the actual risk.

Thanks for the pics. I couldn’t get anywhere near to get a shot! Thanks to everyone at GAM for a nice day. 🙂
UPDATE Yes Peter, several people, including those that appeared to be GAM related were taking video. Hopefully someone will post it.
    Regards
    John

So what is the future for airshows?

Hmm, Quite understand the reasons given above. But where does that leave us in the future for airshows? Will we be relient upon airforces and their budgets? Maybe we need to encourage airlines to start bringing their aircraft for us to look at now flight deck visits are banned in the air.
Would be interested to hear what other people think and would like to see in the future, or should this be a different thread? Mod. please move as you see fit.

    Reminds me of several occasions!
We went into Jersey with an atr 72 on one occasion, landing just before a front came through. Got on stand just as it hit. We got the bar on the front with the tractor attached as they did in those days. Still had to keep the punters on board as it wasn’t safe to disembark. A/c was twitching all over the place.
Not as bad as turning on to long finals at LGW too close behind something a bit bigger, like hitting a brick wall. Yes I did head butt a bulkhead.

Thanks for the update Lancman. It’s been a few months since I last checked the website. Goodto se how far you’ve got.
Is it still the plan that Gina Campbell will be the first to pilot her when she’s finished?

I have to say it does seem to be quite normal to be very sick after visiting the Dom.Repub.
Been on BBC’s Watchdog many times because of this.
Guess where I’m never going on holiday.

Glad I converted my car to LPG last summer. Currently paying 52.9 ppl. Every time it goes up my saving per mile increases and so payback time for the conversion shortens.
At £1.50 ppl petrol I’d be saving about 75p every time.:)
If you do 20k miles a year or more and will keep the car for longer than say 2 years I’d be getting a quote on a conversion.

Thanks Newforest. Seems these were not ex UK machines. Some research shows I was thinking of BXEG & H which appear to have gone to Brazil.

Anyone know if Bruce is planning another series of Flying Heavy Metal when he is back off tour?
Have to say I thought the first series was rather good. Should be on BBC 1 or similar, would probably do rather well even though it is a bit specialist.:)

Very sad news. Does anyone have any info on the a/c involved. Quite a few ex UK machines went down to that part of the world a few years ago.
