I’ve considered this recently for my 2.0D X type. It was considering using Chip Express
I decided not to as my mechanic advised against it. Yes you get better fuel consumption and power but at the possible expense of a worn out turbo. Evidentally the engines are designed and can take the extra but it is the turbos that suffer the extra strain.
Really a case of whether you can afford a new turbo if required I suppose.

    XL189 😀

I had a ready meal recently. Said heat for 5 mins, agitate the tray then heat for further 2 mins. Quite why you have to swear at it in between heating cycles I haven’t worked out yet.

Angela Merkel and a man in underpants is not a combination I care to dwell upon!

Anyone got a link to a plan/drawing of the 787 that might show what is in that area of the aircraft?

I wonder what the position is these days with many airlines. Do their procedures encourage pilots to hand fly and maintian good basic skills or are they more focussed towards management of auto pilot systems?

Something strange here. Witnesses and some pics appear to indicate a fire in No2 engine. However pics on the ground show engine covers missing from No1.

    Hmmm the 80’s
I was a DJ and heard it all. It was all good in the right places. But then I spent most of it drunk as skunk so the memory might not be accurate.
Went to see Carol Decker and T’Pau again the other day. Just as I remembered in my dreams. Yes Carol, Sweet Dreams.

Yep top job by the BBC tonight. Also a presenter with an understanding of history not just someone allocated for the day.
Remembering all sides tonight. The crews who did an outstanding job, those that didn’t return, the victims, the dog. Not forgetting the remaining crew who still take the time to talk to us and be interviewed again and again and likely answering the same questions.

I think I read somewhere else that they were talking about raising £20m. Are slots still worth that much these days in times of low growth and cut throat prices?

Have to say I flew as cabin crew for nearly 6 years and didn’t feel I was any worse for it. In fact I get more infections now working in an office because the poor fragile things I work with get cold if you open a window for fresh air.
