All the best to Bruce with his plans. I hope he manages to create a few jobs.
Just for a light hearted bit can I ask what criteria people think he will use to select cabin crew for Maiden Airways?:diablo:

Have to agree with Tin Triangle.
Empire State at night, trip on the ferry, american indian museum next to the ferry, main railway station for the architecture, times square, walk down the main streets, Macy’s, madison square gardens. That’s as much as I managed in two days (in the days when we had an aircraft that could make this possible:().
Be aware that it is bigger than it appears on a map so forget walking everywhere and use a cab.
Not my usual sort of place but it does have a buzz about the place.
Just don’t sleep or you will miss it! 🙂

Shame to see more people out of work. Seems they tried everything they could but there just isn’t the work around at the moment.

Have to say it surprised me we cut our losses and ran now. I thought we’d hang on to it until their was an upturn in the hope of making some profit out of it. Could seem a very cheap buy to Virgin in say 5 years.

After all most of the ‘losses’ are only paper risks if people default. That might well not happen on a large scale as most lenders learnt after the early 90’s crash that there is no point in defaulting someone. Far better to take what you can and make up the losses later on when people can afford it.

If it was taken to highlight a point and not just for sake of it then there might be some jusification.
I once had staff turning off the sites electricity overnight to reset my cctv settings so I couldn’t see what they had and had not been doing. I’d been told by a customer what was going on but had no further evidence.
I had to resort to hiding in unknown vehicles with binoculars at 2am to get evidence I needed! A mystery shopper with a camera would have saved me alot of aggravation.

Pure speculation on my part but I wonder if Top Gear will then move north with the rest of the BBC operations?

Until I moved to a desk 2 years ago I’d spent just over 5 years working/driving on motorways all day. Mainly the M25.
I can’t see the proposed change making any difference to what already happens on the road except that drivers won’t slow up to 70 when they pass a marked traffic vehicle.
Unless you have some other reason to attract attention you won’t be pulled just for doing 80 in good conditions anyway.
Why the politicians want to make this the formal limit I don’t know.

Typical, would have liked to have been there to get a pic of that but used my outstanding half days leave to watch Crawley Town reserves instead this afternoon:(

    Cheers Andy

I have a strange list of bits I haven’t found elsewhere yet.
The only thing my missus says I can’t bring back is an ATR fuselage as a new garden shed 🙁 Can’t get it in the back of the car anyway:D

Having never been before I’m going to try and get along next week. Just down the road for me.
Do I take it cash is most likely the only means of payment for most things at these types of events?

Could someone please confirm what I think I saw on TV. Just 7 Reds for the flypast this morning? Was that expected?
    Thanks
    John
