Spain needs the planes, and -at least for now- has the money. Like we had the extra money for the A-400 deal. In the next europen program, we should request the double of what we need or could afford and get a best participation in the program.

poor Eurofighter Taifun. It truly is up to the Luftwaffe to spearhead the development of strike. The other Eurofighter partners are committed to the F-35 for strike, i.e. Brits, Italians, Spaniards. Or will likely not require it, Ostrich.

Unlike France on the other hand, with its expensive Rafale, yet unlikely to buy any other type, ensures the Rafale will see further development in those areas simply because France will not buy the F-35.

No, Spain at least for the moment is not interested in the F-35´s for the air force, only the Navy is interested.

And you’re gona go at strike?

Sad work accidents happens everywhere, in every job. And the military is not even the most dangerous one. If you don’t like it: work as silk painter, not as military.

Until that day we used to give the troops the best equipment available for us, since then we lowered standards, not costs, always in european equipment, mainly french. A sad fact, but true.

Army in the late eighties evaluated three helos, Blackhawk who won the evaluation, AB-412 in a second place, and Super Puma…, with the same money you could get 20/21 Blackhawks, 24 AB-412´s or….18 ¿Super? Pumas, socialist goverment told the Army to buy european…so…Army ordered 24 AB-412´s, after a couple months the goverment told that european mean french…so we had to get some Aspide missiles for the Army as a compensation to the italians and get the 18 crappy helos.

In the mid-nineties, again the same old story, with the money available 18 UH-60L, or 15 Cougars….who won in all the evaluations???? not the kitty…and again more crappy helos were bought again.

Same old story with another kitty in the early 2000´s, but this time expensive as hell.

And we had to sent Chinooks bought by Franco to Afghanistan. So, you don´t need evaluations if the product is french, and the end users should shut up and die for his country, because a politician says that. Hurra.

Half of the Army Aviation was rejected in the evaluations, Super Puma, Cougar and even the Tiger were rejected and bought by politicians, after the Tiger issue, politicians opted for another method, no evaluations at all…NH-90…always the same issue with french equipment. At least the Army managed to get T-700 engines this time.

For the 50th time they are the end user, they are not:
    – the ones who pay,
    – the ones who define the strategy of the country,
    – those who’d have to reply if one day the US tell Brazil: “be with us or be against us”. Or “forgive Russia, ignore Germany and punish Brazil”

The only thing they’re born for it’s to obey, and to train; not to think about things they’re not trained to understand.
… and they’d better shut their mouth (those who can’t stay at their place I mean)

Unlike what he’ve said to calm down everything, Lula is going to take severe sanctions when all this will be finished I think.

It useless to repost again those BS well relayed by the Gripen press agents: we know!

Yeah, we are flying cougars in Afghanistan, rejected three times by the Army, 17 end users dead until now.
