I understand the problem was with systems integration (new electronics) not the helicopter itself.
BTW: IIRC the Aussie SeaSprites were new-build.
    NZ likes theirs….

kiwis were new build, not the australians

Iraq bought Mirage 2000 … but canceled it because of the financial crisis during the war with Iran.

    And bought Mig-29´s

8 billions R&D with 75% by foreign countries for the JSF, and that everyone knows that rafale is at 50 millions cathalogue price and the eurostuff 90 millions is something you’ll contredict to the french parlement with your own sources provided from fanboyosss forums?

    uhmmm i got a doubt

In the moroccan deal, we saw how the Rafale was 50 millions per unit….3.300 million dollars for 18 right?

    No.
The question is whether the AIM-9 family, could use the full spectrum of available modes.
    For example, are you aware if the Sidewinder can be slaved on the F1’s radar;

Yeah, perfectly for more than 30 years. CLAEX works fine.

Any idea, what modes were allowed with that?

Mirage IIIE started with AIM-9B, continued with J and P models and finished his life with AIM-9P3

Mirage F-1 fleet started with AIM-9P3 and still are operating AIM-9J-ULI, quite similar to the AIM-9L(I)

    that was your question?

    PS
Swerve, as I wrote, the AIM-9 were operational on the Hellenic F1CG too.
But were never FULLY integrated. Some functions dont work! (IIRC the missile cannot be slaved on the radar)
I have no info on the Spanish F1s, but I bet it is the same!

Spanish air force never operated a single Magic missile, both in the Mirage IIIEE and the Mirage F-1CE/EE fleet, always operated with Sidewinder missiles.

its the same rate orders between the ford focus and the Bugatti Veyron!

all is a question of choice, a old unreliable car under briberies or a diamon!

Is more a Ford Focus Vs Renault Megane.

Canada’s too and Spain uses their Hornet fleet for air defence aswell.
    A/A Hornets are nothing special.

Is quite usual, now with the EF-2000 the EF-18´s units are more air to ground units with Taurus missiles and all that.

Fourth part of Rafale news and 0 exports. If they could export a single plane, what´s going to happen? eighteen parts more?

Spain never operated any kind of NF-5, our planes designation is SF-5, made under licence in Spain, now are SF-5M upgraded both cell and electronic equipment.

    Equatorial Guinea Casa C-212

    http://picasaweb.google.com/projetpadif/AntiguasFotosDeGE/photo#5170830555983853714

In fact it´s a Spanish Air Force C-212, for some years we had a detachment of C-212´s giving support to Equatorial Guinea, but never were transfered, or sold. And now they have oil, so they don´t need our planes.

“The modernised F1Ms will remain in service for about seven years as an interim solution until Argentina selects a new fighter. The F1Ms will be equipped to launch AM-39 Exocet anti-ship missiles and AIM-9M Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.”

Ok, the F-1M operates and could operate Sidewinders, no problem, but at least for now, Exocet isn´t a option for that planes, no way. This guy really knows something about this Mirages?

It´s going to be very funny when Boeing cames to offer to the Spanish Air Force the F-18E/F as the replacement of the F-18-M´s, quite funny.
