Any spanish goverment will survive to a war against argentina, supporting the brits……

In fact we have argentinian exchange officers in our Aegis ships, in some of our fighter units, and soon in the EF-2000 unit, the Ala 11 at Morón de la Frontera.

    1. UK would invoke bi-lateral defence agreements with US and receive a bunch of AV-8B and/or (if necessary) Marine pilots to fly of current UK carriers, or

    4. UK invoked NATO support and is assisted by French, Spanish and/or Italian navy ships.

Spain will never support any british military action against Argentina in any(hypothetical of course) scenario. Not one ship, not one bullet. No way.

The quality of a block 52 versus a brand new Rafale ?

No, that´s not the question, the question is what dou you prefer against more than one hundred Migs and Sukhois, 18 Rafales or 36 F-16´s?

Micas or Amraams are just an anecdote

Morocco needs something more than 30 upgraded Mirage F-1 and 18 Rafales (or 12 Rafales + 12 Mirage 2000-9) for get a chance against the algerian Mig and Sukhoi fleet, 36 upgraded F-16´s are a good option both in numbers and in quality

Morocco sees all the algerian arms deals (Mig-29, Su-30, S-300, T-90´s etc etc) as a threat, with less than 30 upgraded Mirage F-1 they are seriously worried, so they are going to spend a nice load of money.

    It´s going to be interesting.

Blackwater is trying to get a single Super Tucano, for training roles in the USA.

And they have at least one AB-412

In Spain, the air force wanted an american fighter because we wanted half of the combat units from the USA and the other half from Europe, the program was stopped by the socialist goverment at the time, with a couple of extra “solutions” a) more Mirage F-1 b) a mix of Tornado IDS and Mirage 2000 (ADV was still a project)

Thanks God the air force could get our beloved EF-18´s

Portugal ordered their F-16´s at the early 90´s (Taiwan and Portugal were the last countries ordering F-16A´s)

I heard that russians will return to the Mediterranean, we are waiting the good old Eskadra, from a syrian naval base.

Don´t know if it´s an aeronaval base.

Frenchs are using their Mirage 2000D over afghanistan with a great success, or at least spaniard troops says that about the french planes, you don´t need only subsonic planes for CAS role.

Tanzania already received a couple of Harbin Y-12 about ten years ago.

And then they still had a pair of AB-205´s

El Salvador air force used to launch Mk-82´s from their Hueys, and they also had some A-37´s, so the Hueys wasn´t their only capable units.

And the Hind´s users also launch bombs from their helos, it isn´t a new method

The Colombian way, a Metroliner with an APG-66, Flir etc etc that guides Tucanos, A-37´s and Bronco´s

SLAF can get the same concept made in Israel, with a Falcon/Gulfstream/Learjet with an Elta radar for guide their planes and helicopters, colombians are able to catch small cessnas, the same goes for a zlin.

A nice Hind should be more than enough to deal with a small Zlin, without AAM´s, only with the machine gun an easy work.

Considering the fact that one of the biggest threats to Obiang is an airborne mercenary-invasion that could make sense…

Apparently, Equatorial Guinea and Gabón, have some “differences” about some small islands in the Gulf of Guinea,Obiang knows that his country is on disavantage with Gabón, and he´s trying to build up an air force.

Mirage F-1AZ´s in gabón and Mig-23´s in Equatorial Guinea, like in Angola in the 80´s.

    2 Hinds, 2/3 Mi-8/17 and 4 Mig-23´s are far better than nothing.
