    We prefered Hornet for many reasons, the couple of engines (in all this years we only have lost three EF-18 from the original pack (72), compare that with F-16 users), BVR in the eighties…faaaar before than the AMRAAM, we can make some SEAD work with HARM´s, and a nice antiship role with AGM-84 missiles.

    In Spain we love our EF-18…is great…and looks great!!!

    China is going to invest some billions in Argentina, but i can´t see the FAA with chinese planes.

    But chinese tried with the argentinean army, some assault rifles, ATGM´s and some more (cheap and light) equipment, but they failed….

    France tried in the 80´s that Spain could join the Rafale, and left the EF-2000 program (we bought the last batch of Mirage F-1´s in the first eighties). I suppose we made the correct thing at least one time, or i´m wrong?

    Chileans said that they have 84 Derby AAM, it´s strange,because they show everything they get in the market…the modernization of the F-5E´s, the Phyton IV etc etc

    Single seat is C.16, and two seat is CE.16, (E is for Entrenador, -Trainer-, C is for Caza -Fighter-) Hornets are C.15, Mirages were C.14….

    France sended some days ago 3 Mirage F-1 to Libreville in Gabón.

    The ivorian planes were destroyed on the ground, or at least that´s what one of our Tv channels said

    The AMX-T deal is alive, MB-339 deal is dead

    The FAV has some budget problems even with the oil prices high, Chavez prefers to spent money in win referendums that in upgrade their air force, they are interested in get some MPA´s but the oil price…never arrives….

    We have two Descubiertas in the Canary islands, still with the Harpoon capability, the second is the Cazadora.

    This week probably the F-102 frigate willbe in the Canary Islands, a nice ship, the other two are shots from the Cazadora.
