Maybe its a stupid question, i beg your pardon, but would it be possible to use for the PakFa the Nk-32 from Blackjack?it seems to have 14tons in max dry thrust…its a proved and reliable engine…maybe the problem is with its dimensions right?

AFM did some good reports recently but basically as a fast jet force they are finished. The active component of the air force entirely consists of light helicopter types gifted by various nations. There has been some talk of some of the Y-5 being restored to flight but frankly any new purchases will depend on how generous other nations are feeling.

Most money will go towards their helicopters and after that well they could do with some light transports in the An32 class.

Funnily the Albanian air force does have an official website if you can understand albanian.

jets are gone.Older guys retired mainly and some of them still flying helos.Other pilots all transfered to helos.should be 45-50 pilots. There are 2 An-2 flying.Saw one them flying on January…it has some strange camo seems a tiger…Miss the rusty F-6&F-7 of 4010 regiment flying just over buildings

    few words.

how can we talk of the Ak as not ergonomic when you can shoot in every place and situation possible and if you are not blind in every target the human eye can
see.About not being much precise here in Albania during shooting sessions the officer or n/comm officer will try the gun first and then tell you to shoot a bit left or right.I dont know if anyone has manuals but we had them and at the end there was a board where were shown the shooting correction methods in based on wind speed and direction.I think you cant have those data if you have a not precise gun.

As for Slr and M-16 they ugly, they are very long especially the Fal that seems a real Crutch and how you can call it ergonomic when you cant use it in automatic fire since it will destroy your sholder worse than a Mauser…as for the M-16 a lot of guys were killed in Vietnam coz they didnt have a gun, after 30 years same happening in Iraq…I dont known what you guys think
    the Dod seems a bit ****** up….

    sorry for bad english

About Ak-47 i’ve shoot with 4 types.Early russian one made in 1952,Chinese model 56 parachutist version,Albanian model 56(chinese gave us the license to help building a stronger socialism),Crvena Zastava M70 parachutist version.
All are quite accurate especially ours and the serb one.About workmanship the Zastava excells but is somehow more heavy than the chinese even they are parachutist version. The russian was really worn out but was ok.Problems?yes slight overheating mainly with the russian which i dont understand, and ours(the politbyro decision was to make ourself everything, just the metallurgy wasnt so good and the barrels steel isnt the best one).In few words they told you that after 4 magazines in burst u had to let it cool few moments,if u kept shooting its made a strange rumour like a womans shoe heel when hits the road. The chinese model 56 was fine but as i told before the best is that of the serb s.u.c.k.e.r.s…not a problem of overheat or anything and it looks just beatiful–Miss Ak

Its the best…i hope they keep it or if Nato asks to change caliber into 223 Rem they could buy Ak-101

its a bit out of topic but seems that a Su-24 crashed somewhere near Khabarovsk in Siberia.Just read it at this italian journal link

Second thing. It seems to me for the Blackjack that it hasnt got so much range.I mean it carries smth like 140 tons of fuel, his engines must consume really a lot…whats the diff in comparison to the B1b?

What if a B-52 Stratofortress does the same close to russian airspace?
Which reaction would be from Russian Air Force?

Maybe a pair of Foxhounds will intercept them pretty deep international air space…

So we have the chance to know if the russians did manage to put any noise reduction device on the Bear propsw:dev2::dev2:

    2 questions
First what is the supposed combat radius of the Bear and Blackjack?
Second while on patrol are they armed with nuke Kh-55(am i right about the missile type)?

Im glad they flying,it seems we’ll have a lot of more pics in the INTERCEPTION thread

Any idea what the rifle is on the left side with the box magazine? A high caliber anti-material rifle maybe?

It seems to me that its a PKM machine gun 7.62x54R standart caliber

hello guys seems Indias is goingfaster in acquisitions now.as tango said there are limited mirage2000 to buy so im just asking maybe a silly question.
What kind of 2000s has Peru?how many hours their airframe has left? Can they be bought by france modernised and then delivered like the Qatari deal is going to be?!Maybe India can change them with some Mig 29 since they have some 9.13 29 and also India’s 29 are BVR equiped but peruvian Mirages are not and this way they create a unique type Bvr force and India takes Mirages.

    How feaseble is this option?
