congrats.is Monomak the improved Borei with more launch tubes or it will be the Kniaz Vladimir?
are the first three going to service on the Pacific?
Well, seems there are generally three directions of gray:
1: Attack/strike aircrafts. Su-34 and Su-25SM’s have same shades.
2: Fighters aircrafts, Su-30SM and Su-35S have same shades.
3: Transport aircrafts and helicopters. An-12, Mi-28N, Mi-8’s, Ka-52’s etc.
I still hope one day to see the 34,22M and 160 in the total black of the famous 29UB
6 upgraded MiG-31BM delivered to Krasnoyarsk AB. Total for BM now is about 30, say the folks at paralay.com 🙂
Just asking, are the examples upgraded going all to the siberian units?any reason,is there yet the biggest threat perception?
So if J-10 wingspan is 9.79m how long is the J-20?:dev2:
We are talking about carrier aircraft and their capabilities.
Neither the Su-33 nor the Mig-29k approach those offered by the SH. That is just a fact. I get it, everyone likes to play bash America around here, but claiming that the Su-33 and Mig-29K are more advanced carrier aircraft designs than the SH is just comical. One of them(all 20 or so existing examples) is obsolete and about to be retired, the other (all 16 or so existing examples) isn’t even operational on a carrier yet and still lacks capabilities other carrier aircraft had decades ago.
So yes, if you are happy to accept a very limited aircraft with capabilities in a handful of missions for your navy, then great, buy a Mig-29k.
If you want a fully capable multi-role aircraft that can do essentially anything you can ask a fighter to do, and do it well, then you want a SH.
How effective and performance wise what would be the advantage offered by the SubParWhoreNet ore even Rafale if they had to take off from a skijump carrier? And will your opinion sir be the same if Su-33 and the 29K were taking of assisted by catapults?
i believe that the paint on that MiG29 come close just to the B2/F117 but still isnt glossy at all.
If anybody with photoshop here could modify some Tu160/22M or Su34 in total black it would be interesting
WTF of today looks great.I’d love to see Tu-160s,Su-34 in total black
I wouldnt bet much in weight reduction and the 30 % is toooo good to be true for a weight reduction.
If we talking for thrust it would mean 10-11 tons in maximal and 16-17 in afterburner.
Assuming that weight is similiar in the case of MKI and T-50 if 2×12.5 tons push it to M2.2 then 2×10.5 tons will make it supercruise and with much lower drag and refined aerodynamics it would get some nice capabilities
I doubt it – in 1992, the Su-27 & Su-27UB’s that visited were not equipped to IFR.
Ken
Kharchevsky said that. There were some problems with the different type of kerosene Jp8 and Jp4 smth like that…After some ****ty moments seems the legendary Al31s began to burn it
yes and no.:)
Thnx sir i was thinking the same. The gas throttle is clearly visible but the “speed shift” looked weird as a flying control
Can the WSO fly the plane? Can the WSO open fire?
I dont know what chinese did to her or because it is “fresh” new but it looks way better than Kuznetsov. At this point it would be interesting to know smth more about powerplant,Comand and control.
Question what’s all that water on the flight deck and pouring from it?Is it some sort of anti fire measure or the steep turn caused it?
Supersonic flow diffuser. Very clever, not a simple ramp but a RCS optimised variable ‘bulge’ (without conventional bleed-air doors) with multiple settings to change the area of the intake ‘throat’ and hence control volume & flow speed to the engine.
Does the patent include some description of the blocker?seems the initial figure shows compressor face not less than 30%.

linked above figure no.7…looks it has some sort of actuators.variable inlet?
The Su-30M2s and SM3s were from leftover airframes (incomplete Chinese order)- they were not “brand new” like the Su-30SM.
My issue it with ordering Su-30SM, but if it is delivered without the latest engines, EW and optical defense suit, radar, pilot interface, etc, like the Su-35 is.
Being little confused right?!SM = flanker with canards =/= china leftover.
I dont see why you dont get it.MKI order for India is almost completed so they got free slots on line, output is optimised for realistic good production rate, price is low because of economy of scale and capacity is just slightly lower than Su-35S.Russian Mod has made a good deal, probably the russian Bars with have some special stuff.
As for the M2 a.k.a the chinese leftover well they are cheap flankers but lower capability ones.
your issue is not an issue, even mother Russia gets what it pays and since they are made by different plants they cant be the same.
It’s just rational logic
