    Its great to see photo’s from shows around the world.
    Love the Sabre !

    Yes it’s painted with the colors of the HAF Aerobatic Team, called Hellenic Flame
    It acted between 1958 and 1964, consisting of initial five, later seven, Canadair Sabre Mk. 2’s, based at Tanagra (where the Airshow took place). During their existence, they became quite famous for their displays not only within Greece, but also in France, West Germany, Italy and Turkey.

    Hope that flame burn again 🙂

    As you said it! Note that in HAF has also a light-attack role (the -E is a – C with equipment -avionics & pods- for this role) and also a great helicopter hunder!
    It is very popular between the pilots

    Yes, T-2E is still in service (less than 35 operational) with HAF and probably will remain in service untill 2010. Actually the procedure for finding its relief is on it’s way with many candidates.
    It is used on the final training stage, where the pilots learn more complicated manouvers and flight tactics but also learn to use the aircraft as a weapon.
