Only half of this is directly concerning Andy Saunders; much of the anger here is because of the lack of information from Key, which makes people feel that they aren’t worth an explanation, the thought that anyone can be removed at anytime, without explanation, isn’t the face of Key Publishing that I recognize.
Hello Stuart
I cannot see any reason that Key owes anyone other than Andy an explanation. They clearly state the conditions of posting and they must feel he has violated these in some way. Wether they are right or not is a matter between them and Andy.
I appreciate what Andy brought to the forum as much as anyone but this subject has been done to death, its becomming more like facebook than a historic aviation site.
We do not pay to post here, its a service offered by Key they dont owe any of us anything.
It would be unfair on Andy if the reason he was banned were made public, if he wants to disclose them thats his business, but certainly not any of ours.

I would not blame the Mods one minute for closing this thread. This is issue between Andy and Key, it has nothing to do with anyone else on this forum. I think you be waiting along time for an explanation from Key, the only person entitled to one is Andy.

I have a good selection and also have a screen that can be measured etc….now where are those mag switches????!!
OOPs sorry been on holliday forgot all about them are you any where near Upminster this weekend i could take it with me?
Graham, the hinges don’t look as if they’ve parted company with their mounts by force. A very nice find.
I Agree it’s very nice unfortunately it’s not mine, not yet anyway:D
Its a bit of a mystery Mark also says it wasn’t shot off, so how it ended up in a field on its own is a bit strange, perhaps it was removed as a souvenir and the person got board with carrying it and threw it into a field, who knows?
Fantastic find!
Any more info? – when was this gem found and was it just laying on the surface?
Not sure when it was found fairly recently I believe, will find out. yes it was just lying on the surface.
The two vertical top hat stiffeners are missing and the paint evidence indicates that were separated some time after the incident as the paint thereunder is less distressed.
This part has been ‘tampered’ post initial find
It has been laying for many years outer skin to weather.
If the 3×3 1/8 rivets are mag alloy (the remains of one is still evident,) I suggest that it finally fell off the datum longeron at the crash site or scrap yard.
Can you polish up a bit of the external paint colour?
Mark
Hello Mark
I will ask him , will post a pic as soon as i get it.
This looks very familiar.
I have seen it before somewhere.
My contact picked this piece up from the ground in France so I think you must be confusing it with another Spit door Andy.
Thats because I was sat in the carpark, too tight to pay the early admission charge….
False economy:)

What a bloody mission no wonder so much music gets ripped off.
BOB Aces high theme tune is owned exclusively by EMI. Thats the first problem out of the way.
Now i am speaking to two departments, I have to pay for publishing rights to one department and recording rights to another.
I have to fill in a form now, what fun, probably will have to charge £500 a copy to cover the cost LOL:eek:
I think Airo jumbles may come back certainly at Popham stall holders seemed to be doing well even selling jet stuff. The WWII stuff was at least as expensive as ebay if not more.
I will certainly have a stall with all the jet stuff I dont want next year.
Shoreham was a great event and i really miss it, although i dont think you can blame people to making a profit on stuff if they can, everyone has to make a living or fund a project.
It was of coarse a great social event too sadly missed.
I think ebay is crap for sellers most things go really cheap, you have little protection against dodgy buyers in fact they can hold you to ransom, the fees are horrendous. In the early days you could make good money I think those days are gone.
While talking of ebay, a word of warning if you plan to sell a high value item on ebay, from March, new fees were introduced. Basically if you sell as a private individual using an on line auction, your final sale fee is now 10%, to a maximum of £400, therefore £40. Perversely if you sell something for £800 you only pay £40 which equals 5%
I unwittingly sold some software like this for a friend for £410 at auction the final sale fee was £39 and then £12 paypal fee on top, total £51. If you sell using buy it now or best offer you pay at the old rate, which for this item should have been around £10. I had wondered why there were so many buy it now sales on ebay, another case of greed biting off the hand that feeds it, I think selling at aerojumbles must be looking more promising for some
Well you would think that someone who runs an aviation website would offer a Free alternative to ebay 😉 with classified adds, vetted descriptions so everything sold isnt described as Spitfire, unless it is of coarse it is. Of coarse ebay is always a risk items do not always realise their potential. I have heard from many people who are getting fed up with the charges.
