So would I, I think it would look amazing, hence I wish they were restoring it at the moment, would be handy for the BoB anniversary and all
TIGHAR will come at you and attack you with their jars of Freckle cream and pieces of metal, oh and legal letters!
As for the Spitfire, maybe they pioneered one of the first Two seat spits, which was then flown to Burma where it was buried, dug up by the Japanese and hidden along with Noonan and Earhart, in some remote corner of Japan somewhere!
Incidentally whilst on the topic, does anyone know whether anything is to be done with the one in the ‘restoration hangar’ at Duxford?
Is the plan to restore it to fly?
I for one would love to see a Casa in the air again, especially in proper Heinkel configuration.
How many Casas survive anyway?
Joking aside…is there any glimmer of a possibility of finding credible evidence to where Amelia and Fred ended up?
There must be something left of the Electra, somewhere, surely?
This cat’s a Wild one (ok, ok, only if you use it’s American designation)

Mustang at 11.00 over Chorleywood heading NW but cruising with gear down (!)
Any more info ?
I saw her over St Albans too, sure of it, I thought I was imagining things when I saw the gear down, maybe there was a fault?
Beechcraft Beech 18, spotted over St Albans heading westerly 18:38

Wow, those shots are remarkable, I don’t think I’ve ever seen any production shots for the series before, nor as far as I can recall shots of any of the Be2 replicas in their film markings (with the blue white and red striped rudder)
I loved both series, despite its age it’s a good ‘un.
True, good point, more a supernatural/romance film, The wartime aspect does provide a excellent backdrop though
I think it’s the former, I could’ve sworn that she was completing the 2015 display season first before she finished!
Supermarine Spitfire (possibly Mk IX) spotted over St Albans heading Easterly in the direction of the former Hatfield Aerodrome, 13:52
It’s a cracking mock up, I wonder what happened to it? Likely disposed of at some time.
As war films go it’s really good, fantastic story, great actors and it features A ‘lanc’ (albeit probably a mock up) and a Mossie too, great movie.
Some absolutely fantastic shots, with very informative ‘commentary’
