So did I, looks smashing already!
Thanks for the replies, I do hope they get a Casa/Heinkel up soon, would be quite a sight I’m sure, as will the Stuka!
Ah thank you! I wasn’t imagining it, haha. It certainly looks…novel.
And the spinners bug me. Wrong types.
I’m intrigued, why does White 9 not have the top cowling mounted ‘machine guns’ like Yellow 7?
I saw two Vampires flying in formation towards Hatfield yesterday. Anyone know why?
Edit: I just saw, the Norwegian pair en-route to Odiham
Yes, well done to those at ARCo. She looks brilliant!
I thought the wings on the Hawkinge example looked familiar!
Alas as I was travelling with others, and in light of the weather, I was unable to make it to the site. However Mr Collis managed to tell me the locations of where both bombers came down.
He also spoke about the questionable Time Team “investigation” into the wreckage of 42-37963, Pease’s plane…
God Bless Mary. a fine woman, brave and always smiling.
Blue Skies.

I had an idea it would be. thanks Smirky.
Is it at all possible to pin down the exact plane via the serial, or is that an insurmountable feat?
Thank you David! Very helpful indeed.
I can’t believe it, the saddest news. I wanted to meet him for ages 🙁
I have two different editions of ‘First Light’ and only this morning I was thinking I should get them signed before it was too late. Strange I was thinking about him today of all days 🙁
RIP Geoff, we’ll all miss you.
Blue Skies.
I applied for a job to man the spit experience, and in spite of my enthusiasm and some knowledge of the Spit, and historic aviation in general, I was turned down, or rather after interview received not even an email to say sorry but you didn’t get it. Even when prompted for constructive advice about my interview I was ignored.
Now the experience is experiencing closures (probably due to lack of staffing) and they have some staff who couldn’t care less.
This is partly why I don’t go anymore…
