Just seen it at the local Odeon. I am lost for words, everything about it was incredible, the air to airs left me speechless, along with the surround sound that gave me goosebumps on several occasions.
A beautiful film, certainly worth the huge applause it received at the end.

Well done to all involved, top class!

Absolutely fantastic display! I loved every minute of it in spite of the blazing sun!

Difficult to choose favourite elements, but the Battle of Britain film tribute was probably near the top, all those Buchons!!!
I loved the Thunderbolt/Sally B combo, and the ‘little friends’ display, the Lanc was a treat as ever, and the spirited displays from all participants especially the Sea Fury pair as mentioned, were some of the best I’ve seen.

Well done to all who participated and helped to get it ready and ensure it ran smoothly!

With a fine lineup at Legends this year, I suddenly realised something this evening.
The show is, as seen on the poster, advertised as being a ‘Royal Air Force 100’ one, yet there are no representatives from the Great War, nor jets of the Post War era…A bit of a shame and an oversight perhaps?

Had to record the flypast as I was filming up in Lincs, but I did get to see the Red Arrows return over the Dambusters Inn in Scampton. Can’t wait to watch it!

Ah brilliant thanks! Is there just one run and that’s it or does she go round a couple of times?

Auster I apologise to you for veering this thread off course in my own way. I was merely standing up for what I believe in, although it wasn’t right to use your thread as the platform.

Geoff Thank you for your apology, I accept it , and I apologise for getting shirty at you. I feel very strong about the subject as I have many friends who are members of the LGBT community.
I understand there have been many misinterpretations in this post, perhaps even over the meaning of the shirt itself. I hope we can all move on and continue to discuss the RFC and the bravery of its members in time of conflict.

It only caused a distraction because someone thought it necessary to pick up on it in a negative light. The ‘little respect’ comment sounded like LGBTQA shaming, aka, because she was supporting gay rights then that is an insult to those who fought in the war.
The offender could’ve just made a nice comment about the segment and picked up on its historical interest and use of the Great War Display Team’s aircraft to portray the RFC types used, not snub the presenter for wearing a shirt that was for a cause important to her.

It was a simple message of support, maybe if she had waved a rainbow flag and started shouting ‘Gay rights with support from the RFC’ people would have grounds to say it was distracting and taking away from the point of the broadcast, but she didn’t.

It feels as though some are using this small element as an excuse to express their own medieval views on the importance of LGBTQA rights.

Now lets stop the homophobia and talk about the merits of the programme as a whole instead hmm.

And also 1batfastard, you could say, her Uncle (and other RFC members in the conflict) fought for the freedom to allow her to live free and make her own decisions and support whoever she wishes/wear whatever she wants….

I saw a Spit pass over in the direction of Hatfield, one of the two seaters probably, grey underside and no cannon.

I don’t think it is lead, it isn’t soft and it doesn’t feel as heavy as I first thought, it was a bit exaggerated on my part!

I haven’t tried that actually, I don’t have any way of doing so I don’t think.
I hope it isn’t lead, I’ll have to get rid of that quick sharp if it is!

Ah yes, I mean the latest piece I found, the first one we identified, and you’re right!
I’m curious about this smaller bit I uncovered.

    Thank you anyhow!

I take it it isn’t then, one can only ask I suppose.

Another find from the same location.

Found this wrapped around a small branch, embedded in an oak tree.
May not even be metal as it has some cracking on it, but its heavy enough!

Also found some little bits but they’re probably unidentifiable they’re so small.
