More sorrowful tidings reported by the D.Tel. (27/1/17)
GB’s economy is the fastest growing, major advanced economy in the world.
Woe, woe, woe, where will it all end !
Pro brexit paper in selective reporting shocker!!!

[The Washington Post is so socialist that it should be re-titled Pravda. Never to be – like the BBC – relied upon for impartiality.
NB. This reply has been closely monitored.
As is so often the case, in my opinion, you are quite wrong. Confirmation Bias, remember.
I think you would struggle to pass the socialist tag in the US.

No, but you found it in the left leaning anti Brexit Independent. I wonder why ?
Because they are prepared to challenge the brexshiitters? Whilst the likes of the Daily Fail are not really interested in the truth of the research conclusions? Just in IDS Gove’s and BoJo’s alternative truths
Brexiteers misrepresent research into impact of immigration on wages shocker
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/impact-of-immigration-on-native-wages-infinitesimally-small-a7545196.html
For some reason I couln’t find reference to this in the pro-brexit press
it is a matter of a number of different interpretations like so much else.
For example the “bias” of the BBC??
And since they are not doing this, that there is no evidence at all, it cannot be provable. Because there is nothing to prove as it did not seem to happened.
That he cannot accept that is the real issue
I am not imagining it ! I know hostility when I hear it and see it. The BBC’s anti Brexit hostility is as plain as a pikestaff. It is so obvious that a denial exposes the denier to ridicule.
As for the fatuous dismissal: “Well, it is just your opinion”, of course it is but, it is based upon what I personally hear from the tone and content of the BBC’s Brexit news and commentaries. Quite why few on these forums can accept that with good grace and admit it, is yet more evidence if evidence be needed of an astonishing prevalence and capacity for delusion.
But If you are constantly expecting it you will see it. It even has a name- confirmation bias
In psychology and cognitive science, confirmation bias (or confirmatory bias) is a tendency to search for or interpret information in a way that confirms one’s preconceptions, leading to statistical errors.
The only ridicule should be aimed at those who cannot accept that their position may not be universally held, that cannot accept a position might be held as a matter of opinion rather than of fact and therefore delusion cuts both ways I am afraid.
Just accepting something “with good grace” merely because you say it is true…… Dream on
Re #1939 ޕ
John, again it is merely your opinion. All your friends and the papers you read may be of the same opinion, but that does not necessarily make it true.
Your comments on lies and endlessly repeating them could equally apply to your assertions about the anti-brexit bias of the BBC. Had you considered that?
I see Donald has had another “alternative facts” moment. OK perhaps we should call it for what it is?…. untrue
If it were, surely his team would be providing evidence, shouting it from the rooftops. But not a squeak
Trekkie, don’t be tiresome ! The continuing anti Brexit line taken by the BBC underpins their reports.
In your opinion. Not in mine. It is in the eye of the beholder or the ear of the listener. You look for anti-brexit and are willing to find it. All I see or hear is an attempt to show the reality of the situation and the facts that support it. Not wishful thinking
There are a number of intersting articles in the US press about the Trump White House press briefing.
Worth reading

Even Fox News are saying the ‘Alternative facts’ approach was on shaky ground
There is no doubt in my opinionwhatsoever that the media, and more especially the BBC has been, and still is, anti Brexit (and Trump)
John Green: Really ? How would you go about measuring the intelligence of your claimed intelligent people in the BBC ? In my book there is some doubt but, there is no doubting in my opinion their liberal left political affiliations.
There, corrected it for you both
In my opinion there is no doubt that the BBC is and remains slightly pro establishment and some of their journalists are certainly pro brexit and anti Corbyn. Laura Kuenssberg for example, whom the BBC trust has just upheld a complaint of misrepresentation against Corbyn’s stance on shoot to kill policy.
It is typical of those who disagree with accurate reporting to blame the messenger.
Do you understand how English works? If Jewry means ‘collective of Jews’ then a word can be added before it to refer to the expanse of that collective, which could be limited to one country, a continent, or in this case the global amount.
Wow, you hand-picked one of 10 definitions and ignored all the rest.
By adding ”global’ to a definition that already means the Jewish people, or jews collectively, you can be seen to be implying an organised, homgenous group with one set of goals.
from the context of all of your previous post on the subject the one I quoted from the dictionary is the one definition that you seem to favour.
If this is notthe case, that you were notsuggesting that there was a global jewish conspiracy in the 1920’s and 1930’s then you should say so explicitly.
Is this the £5 argument or the £8 course of 10?
There’s little point in warming up the embers of events that took place over seventy years ago. The accepted ‘history’ is the history that is in place and will endure, the alternatives, no matter how accurate, will not be accepted into popular history……. Very often imagery trumps reality.
So do you agree with Mycrofts version of history John?
Oh, and this must be a record, for the second time in a week I agree with you about something ( The Dark Ages not really being that dark, although we might differ a little on the detail if I remember previous posts )
