I find it strange that fans were absolved of all blame.

Not my words but relevant from another forum when this came up there:

” That’s part of the lies – the deliberate ,manufactured lies – that those responsible for the care of people at that match began manufacturing to cover their own arses. Lies that they invented, and then perpetuated by falsifying and modifying statements, passing lies about drunken ticketless fans to the press, and perjuring themselves in court for years. Lies that are still in the ears and minds of lots of people 27 years later. But the jury today dismissed them as exactly that – lies. Clear verdict is that there was no behaviour by the fans that contributed.”

It certainly puts the objectivity/education and world view of the average Brit into question

    Pot, Kettle, Black

I have spent some time in the US outside of the large cities- more specifically in California, Oregon, Washington State, Colorado and Connecticut- where the vast majority of the people I have met have been charming, polite, engaging, very likeable in short……and almost completely unaware of any issues outside of their own country especially Europe.
Whilst this is almost certainly true of a number of people in the UK and Europe about the US, it is not the majority in my personal experience.

refusing to concede that the glory days of the empire are long gone.

this is something we can agree on

outburst above, with which many of us would agree

Not as many as would disagree wholeheartedly I would think.

Latest polling suggests Remain still ahead

The graph suggests a widening of the gap in the past week

Didn’t Ron spend much of his second term asleep?

On a different note, it appears that Boris has even upset his old chums at the Spectator

I am therefore writing with the caution of a lawyer and the deference of a palace flunkey when I say that Johnson showed this morning that he is a man without principle or shame. He is a braying charlatan, who lacks the courage even to be an honest bas****, for there is a kind of bast****ly integrity in showing the world who you really are, but instead uses the tactics of the coward and the tricks of the fraudster to advance his worthless career.

Verdict ? Probably the most useless American President of all time – which is some distinction !

No, that would be one R.Reagan

A bad week fror the Brexists, funny how even Nige is distancing himself from The touslehaired one

I thought you might take it the wrong way

I assumed you enjoyed the film then. Would have been interesting to see the young Farage in there as well

Most politicians have ‘track records in obfuscation and doling out dodgy facts’ – that’s a fact ! It just so happens that on this occasion, as an INNER rather than an OUTER, what Oily Dave is saying flavoured by obfuscation and dodgy facts and backed up by some of his lickspittles, happens to suit your particular stance.

And how is this different to your own probrexist stance if you reverse the Inner and Nitwits/outers?
