Wouldn’t it be nice to see her bringing up the rear of the RAF’s 90th Anniversary Flypast on Friday en route to RIAT?
buccsociety settles his bar tab at the Aviator?:)
£15m for that? I want my money back!
Fairly sure I saw a P40 overfly the Lewknor parachute site yesterday lunchtime
I was waiting to do my charity freefall parachute jump at the time http://www.justgiving.com/darrenandrob
I think the Flea is at Breighton now. There’s a fairly up-to-date ‘where are they now’ list a few pages back on the thread.
The Lincoln is now in Melbourne, Australia

Back down safely at Brntingthorpe with ‘minor snag’ according to BBC
Airborne…gear retracted too…have they done that before?
PZ865 ‘had’ the registraion G-AMAU, but it was deregistered when it went bak to the military.
Lovely pics. Did you photograph the Storch in the background of shot 10?
Richard Branson has got enough cash to rescue either of these two airframes and he’s certainly an admirer of Freddie Laker…
Too tired to search…did it used to be C-FHNH, that turned up at Southend in the early 80’s?
Went to a families day there about 15 years ago, when there was a Sea King and a fairly complete Phantom amongst an array of tanks and APCs on display. Had a ride on their narrow gauge railway and the hovercraft. There is a very sophisticated radar there too, used to track the various projectiles they fire off into the mud (every one is recovered, apparently). Fascinating place, but I’ll probably have to kill you all, now I’ve told you!
Thanks for the feedback.
To put things into context, the airframe in question has been languishing outdoors for many years with very little TLC, but with no public access. Hopefully, the project will see some restoration work and a suitable budget for ongoing care and maintenance, which will see the aircraft on public display.
My personal preference would be to see the aircraft on a pole i.e out of reach of the graffiti artists and souvenir hunters!
I’ll go public with the details as soon as I can.
