Deenethorpe came from a very, very well informed source, but I agree that it would be a major and costly undertaking, particularly if licensed operations are planned.
Notwithstanding the ongoing planning issue at Kemble, appropriate levels of CAA Fire Cover there would be problem too for any passenger flights in the Twin Pin or Dak, which seem to be the main revenue stream for the Historic flight.
I can confirm that the Gloucestershire Airport move isn’t happening either, because of performance issues for the jets on Staverton’s relatively short main runway.
Latest one into the rumour ‘melting pot’ is the former USAAF Base at Deenethorpe in Northants. Don’t know how much substance there is to it, I suspect it would take a fair amount of infrastructural investment though and CAA Licensing for any Public Transport work…..
Another ex-museum resident I’ve had difficulty tracking down is Proctor NP303/GAZNJ any ideas?

I’ve often wondered where the very impressive collection of ‘aeronautica’, models and engines went. There was also a Rolf Harris painting…

I was wondering too, but I think it must be the Dragon G-ACIT
I also have the blue/yellow poster, which I found, quite bizarrely, at a car boot sale in Gloucester. I also have the Museum booklet and Auction catalogue
